Brussels —visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Cliff Bray.

Harriston Hockey Camp using the
Harriston Arena, however, with
the demise of the Harriston Arena
and 27 other similar arenas in the
province, the camp has come to
terms with the Normanby
Complex. The $ 550,000 complex
will feature excellent summer ice
with the addition of an auxiliary
compressor and a de-hnmidifier
unit.

Gordon Engel, fire chief, for
the Township of Grey, was
authorized to use his car as a fire
department vehicle when going to
fires.
Any tile drainage applications
received after May 1st will be
filed until further notice from the
Ministry.
The township will pay $40.00 to
the Huron County Municipal
Officers' Association for
membership fee and delegates
registration and 'the Huron
County Road Superintendent's
Association membership fee of
$15 for the year 1976 and
membership fee of $10.00 to the
Huron-County Mutual Fire Aid
Association.
James A. Howes, O.L.S. 'was
appointed to make a survey of the
work in Grey Township , on the
Greig Municipal Drain and
include this work in one report
with the Township of Elma.
Building permits were granted
to: Nu-Teck Farms, pig barn;
John Cox, silo; Clare Veitch &
Son, silo; Otto and Joan Datwiler,
driving shed; Hugh Johnston,
barn; Cyril Prescott, milkhouse;
Edmund Weidner, house; Eric
Whelan, addition to house;
Joseph Ditsch, corn drying plant,
and Andrew Bremner, aluminum
siding on house and verandah
closed in.
The Treasurer was instructed
to forward the Community Plan-
ning Study Grant of $2,500. to the
Treasurer of the County of Huron.
Councillors want to meet with
the trustees of the Presbyterian
Church at Cranbrook, regarding
the cemetery .and survey costs.
Bills were ordered paid as
presented with the exception of
Harold and Wayne Smith
Construction payment of
$9,059.25 to be held back till work
is completed satisfactorily.
At a special meeting held May
5, the application of Marilyn
Engel for the position of part-time
Clerk-Typist was accepted. Rate
of pay is $2.75 per hour with three

Huronia Hockey, and the Town-
ship of Normanby have
announced that the Huronia
Hockey Camp will commence
operation with the 1976 summer
season utilizing the new
Normanby Recreation Complex in
Ayton, ' Ontario.
The hockey camp has operated
for, the past four seasons as
Stuart Smith
speaking in
Listowel
Dr. Stuart Smith, leader of
the Ontario Liberals, will speak
on land use at the annual meeting
and dinner of the Western
Ontario North Liberal Association
at the Listowel Legion on Thur
sday May 20th at six o'clock.
Dr. Smith, who has contended
that Ontario's dwindling good
agricultural land should be
protected from'being paved over
in the name of population
concentration, will discuss means
of curbing further loss of
productive land.
Officers of the Association will
be elected.
