" During the week April 26 'to
May 2, Officers 'from Wingham,
detachement conducted
twenty-two investigations
including:
Eighteen charges were laid
under the Liquor License Act.
Two charges were laid, under
the Ligour License Act.
One charge was laid under the
Criminal Code.
On April 30, a 10-speed bicycle,
white with black seat, was stolen
from Hugh Sinnamon at Lot 31,
Con.12, East Wawanosh.

On May 2, Prov. Const. Jim.
Dore apprehended two person
who allegedly broke into and stole
a gas can and gas from the Kerr
Construction shot. Charged with
Break-in are Terrence Harcourt,
age 20 of 156 Frances St.
Wingham,. and. Donald
Kernaghan, age 18 of 32 Bristol
TerraCe, Wingham, Ontario.
During the week, there were
four motor vehicle collisions,
which caused an estimated
$4,365.00 in property damage and
injuries to four persons.
On Friday, April 30, Barbara J.
Morley of Listowel and Charles
H. Kreller of Wroxeter were
involved in a collison on Highway
87 at Huron Road 28, Howick
Township. Injured as a result of
the collision were both drivers
and Robert W. Morley of
Listowel, a passenger' in, the •
Morley vehicle • and Lucinda
Kreller of Wroxeter, a passenger
in the Kreller vehicle.
OPP Reports
C. L. Workman of Brussels was honored for his'36 years of
service with the Telephone Company in Brussels on Tuesday,
April 27, his birthday, when he retired.
He was presented with a President's Wallet by G. A. Newton,
president of Telontario, and a gift from the staff of Maitland
• Teleservices of Brussels by Mrs. Mary Lowe._
He was'entertained at dinner by Mr. Newton, Ronald Hunt,
secretary-treasurer of Telontario and H. J. Ross, Manager of
Maitland Teleservices.
He began his service with Brussels, Morris and Grey
Municipal Telephone System as a lineman on January 1,. 1940
and continued that for nine years. He was plant manager at the
time of the Bell takeover. He was a sergeant in the Signal Corps
during the war.
Mr. Workman is well known in the community where he has
been active in the Brussels Royal Canadian Legion as the' service
officer for 25 years and president for three years. He was also a
member of the Brussels Council and the P.U.C. for a number of
years,
His wife is the former Jean Grainger and he has one daughter,
Mrs. Lynne Aitken of Durham and two sons Donald of Brussels
and Murray of London.
