To direct Menesetung Teen Camp

Margie Whyte, whose family
resides at R.R.#2, Seaforth, has
been appointed Director for the
coed Young People's (Teen)
Camp to be held duribg the long
weekend in May (May 21 7:00
p.m. to May 24 'at 2:00 p.m.) at
Camp Menesetung, three *mileS
north of Goderich.
Margie presently teaches at
Erin District High School, near
Guelph, and was the Camp
Director for the five week
Summer 1974 camping season at
Menesetung.
The basic weekend program
will include Christian Education,
Sports, Swim, Crafts, Camping
Skills as well as special guest
speakers, discussion groups and a
resource centre.
Any teenager (aged 15 by
December 31, 1976) interested in
attending this camp sponsored by
the Huron Perth Presbytery of the
United Church, should write• for

Melville Guild sees Holy Land
Melville Guild met in the
church parlour for their Easter
meeting.
Margaret Sweeney opened the.
Devotional part with an Easter
prayer. The hymn, "Come Let Us
Sing of a Wonderful Love" was
sung. The Scripture
Matthew 27, verses 22-37 was
read in unison.
Jean Ireland gave the
meditations-"Because He Loves
us so Much." The beautiful old
hymn-"The Old Rugged Cross,"
was then sung.
Jean Ireland's topic was the
'Easter Lily." Margaret
On Tuesday, April 13th, Mrs.
Tyeiinan and the gradefour class
presented their assembly. Many
parents were in attendance and
their interest is always
appreciated.
Mr. Scott invited the grade
eight parents to take part in
various classes during the weekof
April 12-15. Mrs. Bonnie Wilson
and Mrs. Gladys Van Camp found
out their metric measurements'
along with the grade eight
students. Mrs. Joan Bernard and
Mrs. Donna Knight illustrated to
grade eight how volleyball should
be played. Mrs. Kathleen
McWhirter and Mrs. Harriet
Miller took part in a science
experinientt on the per cent of
Sweeney followed with a prayer.
The hymn "What a Friend we
Have in Jesus" was sung,
followed by the Mizpak
benediction.
Everyone enjoyed coloured film
pictures of, the Holy Land taken
on a tour with Pat Boone. Mrs.
Eleanor Dane from Wroxeter
gave a commentary on her trip
this year, to Israel, which was
convened by Rev. Wesley Ball of
Gorrie. She showed an album of
pictures and some interesting
souveniers. She was presented
with a gift. The film and pictures
oxygen in air. It is hoped that the
parents enjoyed their sessions as
Mr. Scott and the grade eight
class certainly appreciated their'
interest.
Wednesday, April 14th was
Open House and was extremely
well attended. Miss Slotegraaf,
Miss Clark, Mr. Prior and Mr.
Scott had a group 'of students
perform a gymnastic display. Mr.
Scott also had the grade eight
class demonstrate their science
projects in the auditorium. Metric
materialswere also set up in the
auditorium under the driection of
grade eight students. The
students and staff would like to
thank the parents for their
attendance.

presided for the business period.
The secretary's report was read
by Jessie Little and the treasurer's
report by Rose Marie Bishop.
More plans were made
concering the annual
smorgasbord dinner which is to
be held in the church on May 26.
