The Spring. Thankoffering of
he Brussels United Church
Women was observed on April 4
at the evening service. •
Guests were present from
Belgrave, Bluevale, Walton,
Ethel and Moncreiff churches, as
well as the Presbyterian, -Angli-
an and Catholic churches of
Brussels.
Mrs. Jack Bryans presided at
the organ before the service. The ,
hymn "Rejoice the Lord is King"
was sung. Mrs. Jim Smith gave
the prayer and Mrs. E. LeDrew,
president of the U.C.W„ wel-
comed the visitors.
The Belgrave Men's Choic
entertained the audience with
several anthems which were
enjoyed. Rev. J. Roberts of
Belgrave led the choir.
Rev. Wesley Ball of Gorrie was,
the guest speaker and took as his
theme "Thanksgiving" - the
verse "Thanks be to God for the
gift of His Son, the gift beyond
words," He spoke of the material
blessings, mental blessings,
social blessings and spiritual
blessings which we all enjoy.
A social hour was enjoyed at
the close of the service.
