Porter of Walton, a life-long resident of this area, passed away in - Seaforth Community Hospital on Monday, April 12th after a brief illness. he was 90 years of age. Born on the 10th concession of Grey Township, he farmed there until 1944 when he moved to Walton where he was employed at the Bennett egg grading station until he retired. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mame Bennett in July 1972, and by two brothers. Two daughters survived, Mrs. Cliff, (Vera) Kernaghan of Brussels and Mrs. Jim (Doris) Lamont of London and one sister, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) McTaggart. Funeral services wereheld from the M.L.Watts Funeral Home, Brussels at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14th. Rev. E. Baker of Walton United Church officiated. Burial service followed at Brussels Cemetery Chapel. Pallbearers were Ross McTaggart, Ross Bennett, Ron Bennett, Bill Coutts, Stewart Humphries, John Perrie. Delegates attend pro life conference Delegates from the Wingham and area Pro-Life Group, Voice of the Unborn, met with over 200 pro'-lifers at the Southwestern Ontario. Pro-Life Conference in Kitchener on Saturday, April 10. Those attending were: Mrs. Robert Chettleburg, Mrs. John Brent, Mrs. Gerald. Smith, Mts. Herman De Bruyn, Miss Rosemary Curtis, Mr, and Mrs. Adrian Keet, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Camp eau,. Miss Annette Feet, and Joe Austin '(Goderieh Pro-Life). During the morning, session, delegates were divided into committees of their choice.The committees included Youth, Nurses for Life, Media, Newsletter, Group Elyria Euthanasia Research,„Hospital i Lyrics for Life, Political Action, and Ontario Action.
