' playing Belgrave. The final score
was Brussels 6, Belgrave 0
Scoring for the home team was
Tommie Ward 2, with Gary
Godkin, Gary Pipe, Tim Fritz and
David Wheerler 1 each. Assists
went to Rick Knight, -Tom Ward,
Kevin McArter, David Wheeler,
Gary Pipe, Wayne Wheeler.
The Championship game found
them playing,the Milverten squad
with the final score 1-0 for
Brussels. David Wheeler scored
the only goal for Brussels.
In consolation playoffs the
Peewees played in Mildmay on
Monday night and were defeated
9-8. Goal scorers were Mike
Watson 3, Brian Tenpas 2, Paul
Johnston, Ken Cousins, Steve
Knight 1 each. Assists went to
Brian Tenpas, Doug McArter,
Mike Watson and Ken Cousins.
On Wednesday night the
Novice team blew a 4-2 lead over
Milverton to let them tie the
score: An overtime period was
played but the *score remained
tied. Goals were scored by Rick
Knight, ToMmie Ward, Gary
Pipe, and Marty Rutledge.
Assists were picked up by Gary
Pipe, Tommie Ward, Gary God-
king Marty Rutledge, Kevin
Johnston and Kevin McArter.
Mildmay Peewees' returned to
Brussels on Wednesday night for
their second game and -won 4-3
over the home team. Brussels
goals were scored by Brian
Tenpas, Ken Cousins, and Mike
Watson. Assists went to Ken
Higgins, Kevin Outner, Paul
Johnston.
The Atom team travelled to
Paisley on Thursday night to pick
up a 4-0 win. Kevin Wheeler.
scored 3 goals with Brian Wheel-
er getting the fourth. Assists
went to Doug Shaw, Peter
Bennett, Da vy Achilles, and
Kevin Wheeler. Mildmay re-
turned to Brussels on Friday
night to play the second game
with Brussels winning • 4-3. All
four of the Brussels goals were
scored by Brian Wheeler. Assists
went to Richard Haveman, Darrin
Watts, and Danny Achilles.
Local teams are participating in
several tournaments all week
during the winter break.
The Novice team will be
playing Milverton on Wednesday
night at 6p.m. continuing their
playoff consolation series here at
home.
