THE MAITLAND UP AND OVER — Spring came to
Brussels in a hurry Saturday and melting snow put
the Maitland over its banks, flooding surrounding
low lying land, very quickly. Some basements were
flooded but damage was much less than in VVingham
where some people had to leave their homes, and
part of highway 4 was clOsed. Contrary to one radio
report, the villade wasn't isolated by water washing
over entrance roads. (Photo by Lang lois) ,
