Take a walk. • ponnapatnani Walk a 1k.iotlay. is baton Julie MacDonald, 10 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Graeme MacDonald, R.R.2, Brussels was crowned "Miss Wingham Baton Queen" for 1976 at the annual competitidn held in Wingham recently. The pagaent part of the competition is divided into ,three parts with the total mark being out of a possible 200 points. Julie held the top majorette mark of 93 out of 100 and the top model mark of 43 out of 50 in the Queen division. She also had 43 OUT of 50 in the talent segment, in which all the contestants perform something other than a baton queen routine. In daytime competition in events entirely separate from the Pagaent, Julie captured three 1St place trophies in "Twirling"; "Dance and Twirl", and 'Parade Majorette", and a second in "T-St rutt". Other pagaent winners were Wingha girls, m four "vrincess", Pam Cameron, 'Sweetheart" JocIle Rcavic and "Tiny Tot Twirler" Christa Curzon and The Itsy I3itsy Batoncr, Heida Robertson. Correction - Because of a last minute error in last week's issue of the Brussels Post, the cut lines under photos ,of two curling rinks who were bonspiel winners were reversed.
