Sportsathon
On March 10th there is going to
be a Sportsathon. In the Sportsa-
thon eight teams of students
compete against one team of
teachers. There is a merit award
to any teacher or student who
completes all of the events, and
there is a trophy for the top boy
and top girl. The Sportsathon
tests the students and teachers
skill, endurance, and speed, in
different areas. The students'
parents come to the school to help
time the events and watch the
events. All the students and
teachers appreciate their help:

Student Curling
"Now the action is getting
serious. The students' skip must
take out the teachers' shot rock or
they will lose the game!"
I know that this will n ever
happen simply because the
student curlers are just too good
to be beaten. Well, that might be
my opinion-but I am sure that the
teachers have their own view on
the whole thing. Some of the
students have been in the
school's Curling Club two years,
while others have tinly be in it one
year. But do not4et me lead you
astray, be cause some of the
teachers are no dummies at
eft-fling either. The curling match
will take place on March 16th.
The student teams are skipped
by Steven Bilton,. Andy
Demerling, Gary Douglas and
Brian Hastie. I asked a teacher if
he knew the skips for the
teachers' teams, but in a joking
manner he replied; '.`We don't
need skips".'Well, whatever the
outcome, may the best team' win.
