running smoothly - ;he said "It's
been very tough".
Mt. McKinley has the distinc-
tion of lasting longer that the
average whip and party members
claimed he did a good job under
some rather trying circumstances-
He viewed his tenure as whip as a
great enlightener arid believes
every member 8hould have an
opportunity at the post,
"Every member should hold
the position of whip at one tittle or
another to play his part in
supporting the party", he said:
"The Job should be passed
around for. experience and to let
the member get to know the
rules. it a great etilightericr,"'

The story is Old, but the
perspective is up-dated and
brought into sharp focus by the
film The Gospel Road . to be
shown on Sunday, February 28th,.'
at First Presbyterian Church,
Seaforth. The showing will begin
at 7:30 p.m. •
The Gospel Road, distributed
by World Wide Pictures, was
conceived and produced by
Johnny Cash and his wife, June
Carter Cash, who Wanted to tell
the story of Jesus Christ in a
realistic and meaningful way.
The film is a blend of scripture-
based narrative, specially written
songs, and in-depth character
portrayals, with Israel itself as the
mixing bowl. ,
You are there, walking beside
the Jordan and the Sea of
Galilee; you are there, seeing
Rim in many human situations
that establish a ,practical and
personal rapport with every
vie.ver.
You arc . there, being intro,
ducecl to the disciples, and
gaining insight& intoi their varied
personalities. You are there,
experiencing the highly charged
emotional impact of the trial
before Pilate, and becoming so
personally involved that you feel
tyiripathetic pain "when Robert
Elfstrom in an k outstanding-
portrayal of Christ, suffers the
physical attack that precedes the
Crucifixion.
Adding to the effectiveness of
The Gospel Road in its endeavor
to convey reality for this day
are: The, fascinating treatment of
the Crucifixion, making this
tragedy an event of significance
that reaches from its own time
across the years to take on
meaning for all men of all ages;
and the songs and background
music of Johnny Cash and other
outstanding musicians, whose
contemporary style is not out of
keeping with the story ....'a story
that reveals that His darkest day
has become our' brightest.
There is no admission charge
for the movie, but.a collection will
be taken, said Rev.E. G. Nelson
of First Church.

expected to pay.
Reeve Jack McCutcheon, this
year's Huron Warden, was
representing the county at' the
Good Roads Association meeting
in Toronto, and was unavailable
for comment. •
The ministry said that due to
the heavy carry-over of projects
under construction or tendered
last year, there are extremely
limited funds available for new
engineering and construction this
year.
It said a large number of
sewage projects requested by
municipalities make it impossible
to accommodate all the projects.
