I don't think I ever heard of any one government doing such a crazy deed nor I don't think anyone else did either. It puts us back 100 years. What .good is it going to do? Wouldn't it be better to cut the staff and operate with enough nurses to keep the beds open than to close them all down? I wonder if the Davis government would not see that? They have a lot of unnecessary staff such as -supervisors that they don't need. They don't need supervisors . One head nurse to look after the beds and a few more to do the nursing. On the other hand, Goderich would make a beautiful golf • course which I think Frank Miller has his eye on; at least I heard it mentioned on the radio. 1 also heard that their outfit has no plans 'for a Retarded Childrens' Centre. . Remeber Miller and Davis it was our money that built this hospital.. I used to pay .$344. a year h. ospital and medical while my 'brother in Saskatchewan only paid $40. , And as for you Bill Davis the people at Goderich were the only ones that voted for you so why let them down? One man's opinion from HuronCounty. C.A.Deitner To the editor Reader thanks Ian (Editor's Note: Mr. McDonald, asked the Post to publish the. following unsolicited letter. The writer, Mr. Adams has agreed to have it published.) Mr. Ian McDonald Dear Ian: I see by the paper that you are helping the aged people of Brussels to fight a $200 a year charge on a person's property for 40 years. Yes Ian I know that you could afford that charge, but what about all the old people and you have a lot of them in BrusSels. I congratulate you very highly for trying to help the needy and the aged.Just think of the hardships, that plaster on a person's home. Many residents will n of be in Brussels in 40 years. And who wants to buy a home with an extra $200 every year? I feel the people should have a vote and if the majority said yes then there would be no way out of it but. if 60 per dent voted no that should be the law. Keep tip the good work Ian, you deserve a pat on the back for helping the needy. Yours truly, Chester Adams, 690 Wallace Ave., S.
