One girl guide, Kimberley
Bauer, gave her impressions of
Brussels in a speech at Guides the

small. It 'really feels like. a great
big giant city to--me. The people
arc very nice. There arc lots of
streets or roads. The 'Population is
964. There are lots of stores and
houses. The centennial was in
1972.
The people came here to live
and build, their houses in 1872..1

Q. The Family Allowance
cheques received for our children
are made out ,to my wife. Does
this mean she must report the
payments as income?
A. Not necessarily. The law
requires that the individual who
claims a personal exemption on
behalf of a child for whom the
payments are received must
report the payments as income. If
neither parent claims an
exemption, the person to whom
the cheques are made out must
report the income. For further
information, refer to Item 7 of the
Income Tax Guide provided with
y our income tax return.
Q. My employer pays me an
allowance to cover my board and
room while I am working at
distant work sites away from my
ordinary place of residence where
I support my wife and family.„
Previously, I was told that this
had to be included in income for
income tax purposes because I
was not a construction worker'. I
understand that this no longer
applies. Is this correct?
VYesThiS exempting
pr now applies to all
workers triiployed at a distant

retirement. I do not want to pay
tax on it at this time but would
like to invest it So as to spread the:

by Max Watts and I bet it is taken
care of very well. His daughter
Maxine is in the Olympics and I
guess we'should be very proud of
her.
The school is a good one and I
think we should be proud of our
teachers that are teaching us
good work. -
The churches I bet are nice ,I
know the United Church is nice
because our Guide meetings are
there.
There is a pool with a building
to keep supplies for the club in
the summer.
There is a baseball park that is
the biggest in Huron County.
There is a library with a lot of
books and the books are good.
There - is a photographer and
guaranteed term not exceeding 15
years and not extending beyond
the annuitant's 85th birthday.
Q. What is the general rule as

Q. My wife has 'interest from
bonds that I purchased for her in

considered to be my wife's

from your funds. The same rule
would apply to dividends on

invest who must report the
income earned.

After that all of the students
walked down to old Quebec where
we visifed the Diarama which
explains how the city was formed.
Then we visited Quebec's beauti-

The rest of the day we had free
time and many of us attended an
outside dance at the beautiful ice
