YPS Walkathon proceeds
aid, area groups
Robert A. Engel of R.R.3,
Mitchell, passed away in St,
Joseph's. Hospital, London, on
January 10. The funeral was held
from the Whitney-Ribey Funeral
Home, Seaforth on Monday.
A number of area residents
were without hydro for a couple of
hours on. Wednesday evening due
to a break in the wire on the 12th.

Mrs. Jack Knight was admitted
to Seaforth Hospital on. Sunday
and will undergo surgery on

The Y.P.S. of Knox
Presbyterian Church who held a
Walkathon on May 3 of last year,
from which they realized over
$600 have reported how some of
this money has been used. The
group is sponsoring a child in a
needy country for one year at a
cost . of $180. $100 has been
contributed to Missions and $100
to the General Fund. They also
enjoyed family bowling at the
Molesworth bowling lanes and
purchased games , for recreation.

Morris sets scdarie
victory to
The Atom A team were being
defeated 1-0 in a good game of
hockey Saturday night
against Blyth, when they rallied
in the third period to score two
goals. Those goals were both
scored by Kevin Wheeler unassis-
ted.
On Monday evening the Mid-
gets travelled to Blyth and were
defeated 10-8 in a good game.
Leading scorer was Dave Steph-
enson with• 3 goals, Danny White
2, Steve Pletch 2, Alan Bragg 1.
Assists went to Jerry Olechouski,
Danny White, David Watts, Steve
Pletch, Dave Stephenson.
On. Wednesday night the Pee
Wees were at home to Drayton
whom they defeated 9-4. Scorers
wereKen Cousins 4 goals, Brian
Ten Pas 1, Ken Higgins 1, Paul
Johnston 1,Kevin Deitner 1,Todd

The Bantams hosted Drayton
also and were defeated '6-2. Goal
scorers were Scott Wheeler and
Bill Smith. Assists went to Paul
Bragg and Brian Scott. The
samge team was defeated 7-2 in
Milverton on Tuesday night. Both
goals were scored by Doug
Cousins assisted by Scott Wheel-
On Thursday night the Ban-
tams travelled .to Watford to
participate in the Silver Stick
Tournament against a team from
Medford. At the end of the
iecond period they were trailing
1-2 and came back in the third to
win 9-3. Goal scorers.were Doug
Cousins 3, Scott Wheeler 3, Brian
Scott 2, Darwin McCutcheon 1.

On Friday night the Bantams
participated in a tournament in
Clinton defeating a team from
Mt. Brydges 7-3. Leading scorer
was Scott Wheeler with 4 goals,
Doug Cousins 1, Tim Prior 1, Bill
Smith 1. Assists went to Darwin
McCutche.on, Tint Prior, Paul
Bragg. The Atoni. and Midget
games at home were cancelled
because of the weather. •
On Saturday the NoVice team
played host to the Milverton
squad and picked up a 5.1 win.

The boys will return to play
their third game on Saturday
morning at 10:40 a.m. The
Bantam team will return to
Watford on Thursday night at
6:30 p.m. 'to play their second
game. •
