His friends on R.R. 4, to whom
he has given faithful service

Board heard here Tuesday
morning.
Neil. McMullen of the Ministry
of • the environment gave OMB
members Cornell Ebers QC,
sitting as chairman and Armour
McCrae, vice chairman, the
bacteria counts from water
samples taken at storm drain
outlets along the Maitland at
various places in Brussels on July

at the William St. outlet.
It will be a three-way race for

of Brussels, Reeve Allan

Reeve McCutcheon is the only

Allan Campbell sought the chair
last year and Harold Lobb, a
candidate on two previous
occasions , was runner-up last
year to present warden Anson
McKinley.
- Jack McCutcheon indicated
this could well be his last year in
municipal politics, but he did say

Quick action by the Brussels
Fire Department kept fire from
destroying Carl's Auto Body

of Brussels early Tuesday
morning.
OwnerCarl Graber said that fire
started in a paint booth located at

building about 12 a.m. Brussels
firemen fought the blaze for about
an hour and a half and kept it to
thaf if some project in his village
of Brussels would benefit through
his continuance in office, he
would run for one more term.
Allan Campbell promised to
"fight. like hell to keep Huron's
hospitals open" if he was elected
warden.
"I think they are all pretty well
-full," commented Reeve
Campbell, and I'm for keeping
them open supposing we've got to -
throw in some more county funds
or something." •
• Reeve Lobb simply indicated
his intention to solicit the support
of as many councillors as possible
so that he could be warden in the

Mr. Graber said he doesn't
know how the fire started and has
had no estimate on damages yet. •
The fire destroyed' the end wall of
the paint booth and part of the

building.
Mr. Graber said Tuesday that
he doesn't expect to be painting

day, Reeve Karl Haberer of
Zurich spoke as one of the new
members to county council. He
urged county representatives to
think more as representatives 'of
the community of Huron., rather
than as representatives of their
own individual municipalities.
All newcomers who spoke
expressed the highest praise for
the administration of the county.
and the system under which the
county operates.
During, the morning session, a
