4-H Achievement Night in Clinton, Friday' by Tony
Goldthorpe of the' Seaforth Branch. 'She had the

Mrs. Cliff Bray
Mr. and Mrs. Stan Alexander
were guests of 'honour at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Knight
on Sunday on the occassion of
their 40th wedding anniversary.
The party was given by their
family Mr. and Mrs. Joe Raynard
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Alexander and
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Knight.
A family dinner was enjoyed.
Guests of honour were Mr. adn
Mrs. Alex Alexander, Goderich,
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Douglas,
Atwood, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff
Beirnes, Listowel and Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Beirnes, Listowel. After
dinner an open house was held.
Many friends from Ethel were in
attendance to congratulate the
couple and enjoy a get together.
The couple were showered with
many gifts. Both Mr. and Mrs.
Alexander thanked the guests.
A miscellanious shower was
held Thursday evening at Mrs.
George Pearson's, in honour of
Miss Jane Seili, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. E Ilwood Seili.
Contests were conducted by
Mrs. John Smith, Mrs. Gerald
Blake, Mrs. Geo Pearson and
Mrs. Cliff Bray. '
Jane received many lovely
gifts, for which she thanked her
neighbours and friends and rela-
tives.
Lunch was served by the
hostesses, Mrs.: .peo Pearson,
Mrs. Gerald Blake and Mrs. John
Smith.
Personals
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Dunn and
family visited with Mrs. Percy
Stephenson and Mr. Percy Steph-
enson in Listowel hospital on the
weekend.
A miscellaneous shower Was
held Friday evening at Mrs. Cliff
Bray's in honour of Miss' Shirley
Bray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ken Bray.
Contests and bingo were con-
ducted by Mrs. Wayne Grube,
Mrs . Don Bray, Mrs. Charles
Bray and Mrs. Larry Bray. Shirley
received many lovely gifts, after
which she thanked all her rela-
tives.
Lunch was served by the
hostesses, Mrs. Don Brays Mrs,
Charles Bray and Mrs. Wayne
Grube.
Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bray and
Mr. and Mrs. Stan ,Alexander
visited with Mr. and Mrs, Jim
Davis of Lucan on Saturday
evening.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Seth
Pride on Sunday were Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Matheson, Karen and
Charlene, of Atwood and Mr. and
Mrs. Mil Nayler of Morikton..
