from 4:30 until 9 to night to a huge crowd. About 6p.m. people were lined up out to
the road in front of the church waiting to get in. Once inside they waited for their
ticket number to be called to go downstairs to the church hall and eat. Organizers

Morris Township Council met
on above date with all members
present and Reeve Win. Elston
presiding.
Minutes of last meeting were
read and adopted on motion of
Thos Miller andSam Pletch.
Morris Council donated $200
for Walton Hall repairs at their
November 3 meeting. Don
Achilles requested the grant.
Reeve Wm. Elston will work
with Ken Dunn ofB.M.Ross and
Associates in having two catch
basins installed in Belgrave storm
sewer system.
Applications for tile drain loans
were accepted in the amount of
$18,000.

General Accounts paid were
$1,242.27 and Road Accounts
$5,215.13 for a total of $6,457.40.

recently' with her daughter, Dr.
Ann Oldfield, in Ottawa. '
Mrs. Elsie Thuell, a lifetime
resident of this community, left.
Brussels on Friday to make her
home in Rexdale.
Mrs. Barbara Watts and Mrs.
Mary Procter attended the
Division. Girl Guide meeting in
Mitchell on Wednesday evening
of last week.
J. C. Pegelow had a pleasant
surprise when two brothers, Ed.
and Herman Roddy of Elmwood,
visited him. He had not seen the
two men, who had been childhood
neighbours on the 10th of Brant
where their families lived side by
sides for seventy-five years. The
opportunity to renew the
friendship and reminisce about
their early years was enjoyed.
Miss. Barbara Bryans, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bryans of
Brussels, left on Thursday for an
extended visit to Australia.
Mrs. R.W.Stephens left
Wednesday for Kitchener to visit
Dr. Jim Stephens, then, to Boston`
for the 'winter.
Mrs. George 13one and Mrs.
Dorothy McCauley spent a few
hours at the V ariety Groceteria
at Auburn over the weekend and •
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Donald
McCauley and, Melody Soloman.
Weekend guests at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Cec. Moore-were
Miss Norma Gerrett of Toronto
and Mr. and Mr.s Joe Solosky
and daughter Tarra of Aurora.
Mrs. Doug Spence also visited at
the same home. Mrs. Moore,
`Mrs. Solosky, Miss Gerett' and
Mrs. Spence are sisters,. A.
birthday party for Miss Gerrett
was held on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Russell of
Neepawa, Man., and Mrs. Robert
Murray of Scarborough, Ont., are
spending a week with
Mrs.George 'Evans, Alex Steiss
and other relatives.
Mr. and. Mrs. Harry Percox of
Detroit visited at the home of

Mrs. George Hislop is a patient
in Winghain and District
Hospital.
