All that lies between the
Seaforth District High School
band and a trip to Fort Myers,
Florida is transportation
according to Bandmaster Geo.
Hildebrand.
A few weeks ago the girls in the
band received an invitation to
play in Florida next February and
ever since have been busy
checking into details and gaining
necessary approval from school
officials and parents.
The girls are invited to be the
only Canadian band to play in the
Thomas Edison Pageant of Lights
parade in Fort Myers, Florida.
Every year the organizers of the
third largest parade 'in the state
ask one Ontario band to represent
Edison's association with
Ontario.
Now the invitation has been

questions
As well as being the biggest
topic of conversation, the weather
also bewilders many of us. Why
are we having above average
temperatures these days? What
kind of weather can we expect
next week? What causes lighting
storms?
A new column starting this
week in the Brussels Post will
attempt to answer these ques-
tions and others. Author Joe
Smulevitz also hopes to answer
reader's questions in his column.

"And that's important:' Mr.
Shaw said. If the band flies to
Florida, they should only, miss
five school days, he said.
Meanwhile as the investigation
into alternative means of trans-
portation and the costs involved
continues a committee has been
establilslied to solicit and accept
contributions for the band trip.
T.D.Bank Manager , Stewart
Coupland .has accepted the
chairmanship and with him on the
committee are Glenn Chesney,
Mrs. Margaret Scott, Bruce Shaw
and George Hildebrand. An
'additional member representing
the band auxiliary is to be named.

A COOP. petroleum driver serves
a lot of customers who live on
farms. That's true, But he also
supplies quite a few town and
Suburban homes as well, and '
with the same kind of dedication.
After all, keeping a farm house
warm and comfortable isn't
always easy. Bad roads, weather
and longer distances can make
the job a little more challenging.
It takes a guy who is dedicated
to the job.
