All that lies between the Seaforth District High School band and a trip to Fort Myers, Florida is transportation according to Bandmaster Geo. Hildebrand. A few weeks ago the girls in the band received an invitation to play in Florida next February and ever since have been busy checking into details and gaining necessary approval from school officials and parents. The girls are invited to be the only Canadian band to play in the Thomas Edison Pageant of Lights parade in Fort Myers, Florida. Every year the organizers of the third largest parade 'in the state ask one Ontario band to represent Edison's association with Ontario. Now the invitation has been accepted Mr. Hildebrand said and transportation is being investigated. According to Mr. Hildebrand and SDHS principal Bruce Shaw a preliminary check indicates that a trip by air may be a bit less costly than by bus.
