Keep in mind the Annual Bazaar under the auspices of the Ladies' Aid on Saturday, Novem- ber 8 at 3 p.m. in the Community Centre. Correspondent Mrs. JOe Walker The Women's Institute met in the community hall with guest speaker Ian Deslauriers of the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority. Mr. Deslauriers ex- plained the work of the MVCA and showed slides depicting the various goals and projects of the authority. Mrs. Ren Simmons thanked the speaker and presented him with a gift. Mrs. Mel Craig was ,the hostess for the evening. The president, Mrs. Wendell Stamper, conducted business with Mrs. Charles Mathers as secretary in the absence of Mrs. William Peacock. Mrs. Stampers reported on the Guelph Area Convention she had attended in Atwood. Mrs. J.C. Johnston and Mrs. Carl Johnston gave reports on the Huron County Institute Rally held in Belgrave. At that meeting, Mrs. Carl Johnston was appointed to serve on the Perth Huron Medical Health Steering Committee. Mrs. Stamper thanked the , committee who arranged for the Institute exhibit at the Howick Fall Fair which was awarded second prize. The roll call was answered by each member replying to the question: "What does conserva- tion mean to me?" Lunch was served by Mrs. Spirling Johnston, Mrs. Charles Mathers, Mrs. Ross Nicholson and Mrs. Gordon Ruff. The nex t meeting will be held November 12 at the home of Mrs. Graham Campbell. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Mel Craig were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Craig, Auburn. Mrs. Charles Souch, Wingham visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James C. Johnston. 1; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mathers and Jeff were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Rae Mathers Goderich. Rev. W. Brown of the Bluevale United Church baptized four babies during the service on Sunday. They were Jennifer Lynne Elston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Elston; Robert Charles, son of Mr. and Mrs. James. R, Johnston; Carla Dianne , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Johnston;'Carolyn Louise, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Ruff. Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Elliott visited Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wheeler in Wingham. At the morning service in Bluevale United Church, Carla Dianne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Johnston, was bap- tized. Mr. and Mrs. Neil McGavin and family, Dr. and Mr. Terry Johnston and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnston attended the service and were dinner guests with Keith, Bonnie and family. Mrs. Graham Campbell was a Sunday visitor with Mrs. Frank Edgar, Joan and Shirley, Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Peicock visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Peacock and David, Winona and were accompanied by Mrs. Larry Bodell, Michael and Michelle of Courtney, B.C. who had spent the week at the Peacock home. Several families from this area attendedthe reception in Belmore for Mr. and Mrs. Larry Elliott. Music was provided by "The Alley Cats". Miss Dayle Fischer and Miss Gemma de Bruyn were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walker and family. Gemma leaves Saturday for Kapascasing where she has accepted a position as R.N.A. in the hospital there. Rev. R.H. Armstrong was in charge of the communion service at Knox Presbyterian Church Bluevale. Mr., and Mrs. Alex MacTavish visited on Sunday with Lloyd Walker who is a. patient in Stratford General Hospital and also with Mr. and Mrs, Hugh McKone and family and with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Holland of Hanover who were visiting at the same home. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walker and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Gray. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moffatt, Sandra and Greg spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs, Leonard Eccles and family at Holstein. Save money!
