Hymn "We Thank Thee 0 Our Father, The collection was received and visits to sick and shut-ins record- ed. The secretary's treasurer's report was received. The Fall Rally of the U.C.W. will meet Wednesday, October 22. Nominating Committee to bring in slate of officers at November meeting. The meeting closed with prayer followed by the Lord's Prayer in unison. Anniversary A special service was held in Knox Presbterian Church, Bel- grave on Sunday, October 19th to mark the One Hundred and Eleventh Anniversary of this congregation. • Many friends joined with the members on this special occasion, when their minister Rev. Kenneth Innes conducted the worship service, speaking on the need for, and benefits from meeting to- gether for public worship. Special musical ,numbers from the Ladies Choir of Melville Presbyterian Church, Brussels with Mrs. William King as accompanist added much to the service on this special day and were enjoyed by all. Coultes Mr. and Mrs. Murray Rae of Wingham visited with Mr. and Mrs. Don. Rae of , Guelph on Sunday and attended the baptis- mal service of their grandson Jamie in Trinity United Church, Guelph. Anyone who is interested in old buildings will enjoy a free program sponsored by the Huron Branch of the Aitchitectural Conservancy of Ontario this winter. In sessions at the Little Inn in Bayfield, the group p tans four speakers on "The Restoration of Historic Buildings". Tonight at 8 p:m„ Stephen Otto, executive director of the province's Heritage Conservation Division, will talk about legislation on historic buildings. On November 27 Stratford architect Brian Garratt will speak on the exteriors of historic buildings. Museums advisor • Dorothy Duncan of Toronto, who has been active at the Van Egtnond house restoration, will speak on interiors, on Thursday, January 29. The final speaker will be Philip Dunning, curator of Montgomery's Inn, near Toronto. He'll talk about furnishing historic buildings on February 26. All the speakers are outst anding, ACO Huron president Nick Hill says and "promise to be of r cal interest, not only to architectural conservationists but all of• those who own older residences and may wish to know how to restore, redecorate or refurnish." Mr. Hill emphasized that the talks are free and open to everyone.
