Toronto were united in marriage
in Sacred Heart Church, Wing-
ham, in a setting of floral
arrangments of fall flowers, at
3:00p.m. on Saturday, September
7 7th.
Father Nolan officiated. Read-
..rs and servers at the Mass were

wothers of the bride. Cross
+carer was David Montgomery of
'Vingham. The wedding music,
"This Day God Gives Me", "All
`'hat Am" and "Take Our
;3read" was by guitarist Bart
Moore of London.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. David Bauer of
Wingham. Parents of the groom
are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wheeler,
of Brussels.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, was gowned in long
sleeved white nvi•Jn sheer with
lttached train, ',mpire waist and
,,quare neckli' ..t. The front of the
tress was adorned with a pleated
lylon sheer frill forming a "V"
rom bodice to hemline, accented
t.ith heavy lace trim. The sheer
iceves were enhanced with the
.me "V" of lace to the elbow.

,weep. She carried a prayer book
covered with white velvet, sweet-
heart roses, and stephanotis with
lilac and blue dried flowers.
The bride's maid -of-honour
Miss Connie Slosser of Wingham,
wore a floor-length, sleeveless,
scoop-neckline gown of lilac poly-
ester pompeder satin with a
long-sleeved jacket of varigated
mauves and blue. The brides-
maids wore French blue dresses,
with matching jackets, similar to
that of the bride's. The attend-
ants carried brown wicker baskets
of dried flowers, bunny tails,
baby's breath, and star flowers.
The best man was Ken Ritchie
of London and the ushers Murray
McDonald of London, Gerry
Wheeler of Brussels and Gary
Bauer of Guelph. All wore navy
tuxedos with stephenotis boutin-
ar es.
The reception was held at the
Wingham Legion' where the
bride's table was centred with a
three-tiered wedding cake decor-
ated with lilac and blue roses and
sweetpeas. Carnations marked
the guest tables.
The bride's mother received
guests in a formal floor-length
gown of American Beauty Poly-
ester natural pleated Chiffon with
three-quarter length fluted,
flared sleeves, Empire bodice and
V neckline With ornament insert.
She was assisted by the mother
of the groom in formal royal blue
deuble knit fashioned with long.

Her corsage was pink sweetheart
roses.
Music at the reception was by
Entertainers of Guelph. For a
wedding trip to Montego Bay,
Jamaica, the bride chose.a smoke
blue polyester short sleeVed jump
suit with floral under blouse.
Honoured guests were Mr. and
Mrs. George Dales, aunt and ucle
of the bride, of Cargill. The bride
is a graduate of F.E. Madill
Secondary School, Wingham and
the R.N.A. School of London. The
couple will reside in London.

marriage vows in a • wedding
ceremony in Knox' Prebyterian
Church, Monkton, on Saturday,
October. 4th.
The bride is the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schmidt
of Kitchener. The groom is the
son of Mrs. Milton Ronnenberg
and the late Milton Ronnenberg
of Monkton.
Re.v. Charles Falconer of Mon-
kton `officiated at the seven
o'clock evening ceremony in a
setting of potted white mums and
baskets of gladiolias. •
Mrs. Douglas Smith of R.R. 3,
Monkton, provided the wedding ,
music and Mrs. Lois Reoch of
Listowel sang "The Lord's
Prayer", and "0 Perfect Love".
The bride given in marriage by
her son Stephen of Kitchener,
chose a floor-length fitted gown of
deep rose chiffon over taffeta with
flowing cape from the shoulders
and long fitted sleeves. Her bridal
bouquet was a cascade of white
carnations and pink rose buds.
Mrs. John Asmussen of R.R. 1,
Ayr, Ontario, was matron of
honour.
Mr. Ken Engel of R.R. 3,
Monkton, was the groom‘s best
man. Mr. George Worth of
Edmonton, Alberta, and Mr .
Robert West of Waterloo were
ushers.
The reception was held in the
Monkton Community Centre. Mrs
Harold Westenhoefer of • Kitch-
ener, sister of the bride (acting as
mother of the bride), received
guests wearing a floor-length
fitted gown of sky-blue polyester.

polyester crepe floor-length gown
of fall colours featuring brown
and yellow flowers on rust
background.
The bride's going-away cos-
tume for a wedding trip to
Northern Ontario and ,Quebec
City was a robin -egg blue pant
suit with corsage of red rose'
buds.
Out-of-town guests attended
from Alberta, WinghamKitchener
Waterloo, Listpwel, Burlin,gton:
Hamilton, Dundas, Brussels,
Preston, Stratford, Toronto, Bim-
brock and London. The couple
will reside in Monkton.
People We Know
Dr. and Mrs. John Harper of
Hamilton called Sunday afternoon
on Mrs. Stephens.
Mr. and Mrs.Bill Clark of
Stratford were Saturday visitors
with his father, Alex Clark.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Steffler
returned home on Friday from a
four week trip to Newfoundland.
They visited with their son John
and Mrs. Steffler and, welcomed
their new granddaughter.
