This is the sentence for saying
hello as Miss Anonech who is our
new French teacher enters the
room.
She began her career as a
French teacher since •it was her
highest grade in university, plus
it was the most available job.
She received her education in
Toronto and Hamilton. In. Toronto
she received her Bachelor of
Education and her Masters of
Education in McMaster Univer-
sity in. Hamilton.
Miss. Anonech enjoys teaching
in the lively village of Brussels
and found communicating with
the students not too difficult but
when she found our we didn't
understand her,. it became more
difficult. As the days passed, we
soon caught on to a few of her
expressions, for example;
d' accord-o. k. , compris-under-
stood,and ca vent dire-means to
say. Each class receives a period
of 20 min. each day.
Her original home is in Hamil-
ton. She has been living in
Goderich for some time but on
Monday, September 29th, Miss
Anonech is moving to the busy
village of Brussels.
Her future plans are to con-
tinue teaching French in elemen-
tary schools, but there is a
possibility of teaching a regular
academic class.
From our point of view, we find
Miss Anonech a very friendly
person, fond of her work, inter-
ested in the students and one who
tries to keep French as interesting
as possible. She's always willing
Traditionally the Eskimos used
every part of the seal and other
animals they captured. What they
did not use for themselves was
given to their dogs. With the
advent of the snowmobile and the
decline in the number of dogs
now only the marketable skins
and choice edible parts are
removed from seal carcasses.

to interpret words when the
language gets the best of us. Like
all teachers, Miss Anonech has to
lay down the law sometimes, but
that keeps life busy and exciting,
We t he students welcome
Miss' Anonech to our school and
wish her all the luck in the future,

be as good a game as the previous

Mrs. Miller chaperoned the dance
The grades 7 to 9 sold refresh-

though the attendence was small,
the ones who were there enjoyed
themselves greatly. In the future
