On October 2, Kinder-
garten and grade 1 went on an
interesting field trip to the
Brussels Apple Orchard. Due to
the cold weather it actually
snowed while they Were there.
The grades returned with a lot
of delicious apples. They also
drank apple cider. Grade 1 are
now drawing pictures of the trip
and writing stories. Kindergarten
are going to be making and
tasting things made from apples
next week.
Grades 2 and 3 have started an
interesting project, they are stud-
ying whales and hay e made a
twenty foot whale for the hallway.
They also watched a monarch
butterfly emerge from its chrysal-
lis.
Grades 4 and 5 are now
studying plants and their parts!.
They have found it quite interest-
.ng and have planted seeds.
Grade 6 is also involved in an
nteresting study. They.aiie study-
ng ants and their, habits. They
• tre having their assembly on
)ctober 10.

At the fourth meeting, the roll
call was, Bring and show a food ,

used in .your home. Everyone
answered in turn. The next
meeting will be held at the home
of Mrs. Clarke Johnston. Joan
Leishman discussed the goodness
of bread.

cost of drugs for both systems is

County Council was told by
Development Committee Chair-
man- Warren G. Zinn of Ashfield
that United Trails Inc. of Seaforth
has received an extension to its
Public Vehicle Operating Licence.
The company will provide a
passenger, baggage and freight
service soon between Toronto
International Airport and Goder-
ich, Holmesville, Clinton, Sea-
forth, Dublin, Mitchell, Sebring-
ville, Stratford and Shakespeare.
