Stonehouse On October 2, Kinder- garten and grade 1 went on an interesting field trip to the Brussels Apple Orchard. Due to the cold weather it actually snowed while they Were there. The grades returned with a lot of delicious apples. They also drank apple cider. Grade 1 are now drawing pictures of the trip and writing stories. Kindergarten are going to be making and tasting things made from apples next week. Grades 2 and 3 have started an interesting project, they are stud- ying whales and hay e made a twenty foot whale for the hallway. They also watched a monarch butterfly emerge from its chrysal- lis. Grades 4 and 5 are now studying plants and their parts!. They have found it quite interest- .ng and have planted seeds. Grade 6 is also involved in an nteresting study. They.aiie study- ng ants and their, habits. They • tre having their assembly on )ctober 10. Mrs. Russel Walker of Goder- ich spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coultes. Mrs. Warren Zurlyriigg of R.R. 2, Clifford visited Thursday even- ing with her sister Mrs. Robert Hibberd. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hibberd attended the Howick Fair, held at the Howick Community Centre on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hibberd visited in Walkerton on Sunday.
