Recent investigationS carried
out by the OPP at Wingham
detachment include.
Ten investigations with ten
persons charged under the Liquor
Control Act. Nineteen charges
laid with twenty-five warnings
issued under the Highway Traffic
Act.
Thirty-six other investigations.
On Saturday, October 4, Eldon B.
Thompson of R.R. 3, Teeswater
was involved in a single car
accident on the B Line, east of
Sideroad 17-18, Turnberry Town-
ship. Injured as a result of the
accident was Kathy M. Alton of
Wingham, a passenger in the
Thompson vehicle. Damages.
were estimated at $600.00
Gordon A. Wheeler of Water-
loo was injured as a result of an
accident on Howick Street, Wrox-
eter, south of Highway 87 when
his vehicle went off the west edge
of the road, struck a hydro pole,
continued on and struck another
hydro pole. Damages to his
vehicle were estimated at
$1,200.00
Dale Wheeler of Brussels and
Dean Watson R.R. 4, Clinton
were involved in a collision on
County Road 12 at County Road
16, Brussels. No one was injured.
Damages to both vehicles were
estimated at $600.00.
Eleven" investigations with
eleven persons charged under the
Liquor Control Act. Twenty-six
charges laid with thirty-nine
warnings issued under the High-
way Traffic Act.
Thirty-nine other investigations
On Monday, September 22,
Elgin Haniilton of R.R. 2, Lis-
towel was involved in a singlelcar
accident on Concession 3-4, east
of County Road 19, Grey Town-
ship. There were no injuries and
damages were estimated at
$1,500.00.
Clifford Aikens of Fullarton
struck a parked car owned by
George D. Fisher of Wingham on
Frederick Street, west of Eliza-
beth Street in Brussels. No one
was injured. Damages were
estimated at $125.00.

On Tuesday, September 23,
Paul A. Kennedy of Teeswater,
was southbound on #12 County
Road, south of Concession 5-6,
Turnberry Township when a mare
and colt attempted to cross the
roadway to the west. The colt was
struck, and the mare received
lacerations. The animals were
owned by James D. Shaw of R.R.
1, Wroxester. Total. Damages
were estimated at $300.00.
Irene J. Johnson of R.R. 2,
Brussels was eastbound on
Wroxeter Service, Centre Lot
when she was in collision with a
parked vehicle owned by Ann
Westerterp of Wroxeter. There
were no injuries. 'Damages were
estimated at $150.00.
On Saturday, September 27,
Audrey England of R.R. 1,
Lucknow and Gary Schwindt of
Kitchener were involved in a
collision on Highway #86 at the
junction of Huron Road 22, East
Wawanosh Township. Audrey
England was injured, as well as
two passengers in the Schwindt

Blyth were involved in a collision
on Concession 1-2, east of High-
way 4, Morris. Township. No one,
was injured. Damages were
estimated at $750.00 '
Lyle W. Ward of Seaforth was
involved in a single car accident
on Highway 87, east of Huron
Road 28, Howich Township when
he crossed the • roadway and
struck a bridge on the south side
of the roadway. There were no
injuries. Damages were estimat-
ed at $1500.00.
Finn Glinisholt of Auburn, was
involved in a single car accident
on Sideroad 33-34 at Concession
12-13, East. Wawanosh. Township
when his vehicle left the west side
of the road and rolled over. Mr.
Glimsholt was injured, as,well as
a passenger, Michael Meidinger
of Seaforth. Damages were
estimated at $1,000.00

ago. He will be remembered by
his old schoolmates as 'Izzy'.

Guide Commissioners Training in
Kitchener during the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Jos McDonald,
of Grey Tsp. recently returned
from a trip to the Prairie Prov, by
air. They accompanied Mrs. Mary
Speir of Brock, Sask. who had
been in Ont. for the occasion of
Mr. and Mrs. McDonald's Golden
Wedding Anniversary 'early in
Sept. when she returned home.
While there they visited nieces,
nephews, and other. relatives in
the Brock, Zealandia area of
Saskatchewan, and relatives in the
Edmonton, Calgary area of Alber-
ta.
