This week at Grey we had an

After a close race, the following
were elected: President - Chuck
Lynn; Vice President Cindy

The following are short reports
from two mere of our new
teachers, Ms. Annonech teaches.
French and Mr. Garland teaches
Grade 2 & 3.
MR. GARLAND
I was born in Russell,
Manitoba and lived near the
village of Togo, Saskatchewan,
with my grandparents for about
two years. My parents then
moved to Carleton Place,
Ontario, where they presently
reside. I received my elementary
and secondary education at
Carleton Place.
Upon completing high school I
chose to go to the University of
Waterloo for my post secondary
education. I graduated from
University with a Bachelor of
Environmental Studies,
Geography major. The year after
graduating, my wife and I went to
Queen's University,. in Kingston,
where we both obtained our
Bachelor of Education.
I know I speak for both of us
when I say that we are very

Blyth Hinka Ba,kelaar; Brussels -
Mary Anne Ryan; Gorrie - Mrs.
Oscar Kieffer; Lucknow - Bob

A suggestion was made that
the name be changed from Voice

Wingham Branch.
Two more• executives will' be
added , one of whom is Mrs. Ivy
Smith.
There will be a member ship
drive in November. Mrs.
Raymond Schmidt of Bluevale is

Memberships will be in effect for
one year commencing January
1st.
A Youth Pro-Life group is now
being formed. Also Listowel and
Harriston have been contacted
about organizing an active
Pro-LifeGro up.
Plans are now underway to
produce four new tapes to be used
as radio commercials.
The group feels that one week
should be set aside as "Respect
for Life" week. It was suggested
that 'It commence on Mother's
Day.
"Love Life" will be the theme
of Pro Life exhibits ,at fall fairs
this year:
pleased to be a part of the Huron
County Education System.I was
pleased to obtain a teaching
position at Grey Central. I find
that the school is a pleasant place:
to work. The staff is warm and
cordial as are the students, While
we do not have many of the
educational amenities of large
urban schools or large regional
central schools, I have not found
that this has been a hinderance.
In addition, I was pleased to see
the large school grounds. The
school provides a very suitable
place for learning and play.
MISS ANONECH
Until last year, I. had spent my
life in the city of Hamilton.
Having completed high school
there, I went on to McMaster
University for my degree in
French. The following y ear was
spent in teacher's training at the
Faculty of Education, University
of Toronto. A year in Toronto
showed me life in the 'Big City',
and brings me to HuronCounty,
where I am experiencing country
life for the first time. Grey and
Brussels are fine schools, with
staff and students who are both
friendly and hospitable. I am
happy to be teaching here, and I
hope the . students get as much.
from this year as I feel I will:
