New
tegchaers,
at Grey
Central
There are four new teachers in
Grey Central this year and we
have interviewed the principal
and one of the new teachers.
Mr. Axtman the principal, said
that the enrolment at Grey
Central was 306 pupils registered
in the two classes,The largest
class in the school is Mrs,
Dilworth's Grade 7 class with 38
names on the register.Twenty
students from other schools
regis tered at Gr ey this fall and
we welcome them to the school,
Mr.Colquhoun , one of the new
teachers said he had come to Grey
Central from the Waterloo County
Board of Education. He taught for
four years in Kitchener at Queen
Elizabeth Public School. Wh ile
• there he taught grades four, five
and six and enjoyed his stay at
Queen Elizabeth very much.
His impressions of Grey
Central are quite favourable. The
pupils seem to be an energetic
group, he said and are anxious to
learn. Although they don't always
agree with him, he added, we
always come to a compromise of
sorts. He finds Grey Central a
friendly and challenging place to
work. He said he hopes that he
can be as successful and happy a
teacher in his years at Grey, as
he was in Kitchener.
