The Huron. Federation of
Agriculture has a tradition of
organizing a "meet the
candidates night" at election
time. This year two m eetings are
to be held, one at Exeter for the
riding of Huron-Middlesex and
one at Wingham for the Huron-
Bruce riding.
Liberal incumbent Jack
Riddell, progressive conservative
Jim Hayter and NDP candidate
Paul Carroll will field questions
from the audience at Exeter High
School at 8 P.M. on September
11.-
This is not confined to
federation members but is operr.
to anyone who wants answers -to
some questions.
Wingham High School will host
the meeting on September 9th
at 8:30 p.m. between Liberal.
Murray Gaunt and the NDP
candidate to be nominated this
Wednesday night. The PC
candidate, William Walden
hasn't committed himself as yet.

freezers can keep the food cold
from three to four days.

due to the recent high water level.

"The Davis government claims
to be helping old age
pensioners," the protest read on
the back. "Guess what it did to .
this one?"
This was his first attempt at
demonstration to draw attention -
to what he calls a land grab by the '
ministry of natural resources of a
quarter acre lot he owns south of
town.
Mr. McCue- said he bought the
property for $10 16 years ago, but
the ministry claims the land
which is now worth $6,500 is not
deeded to him.
The demonstrator confronted •
the premier as he left a'Rotary
Irincheon meeting, turning ,over
letters of correspondence from
the resources ministry that claims
ownership.
The premier told him he Conservative candidate
would see what:he can find out • William Walden plans to
