25. In Memoriam
In loving memory of ,Carl
McDonald who passed away one
year ago August 24th, 1974.
Through tears we watched you
suffer
We saw you fade away
, Our hearts werealmost broken.
You fought so -hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful, free from pain
We could not wish you back.
To suffer so again.
OUr hearts still ache with'
sadness
Our secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you Dad,
No one will ever know.
God saw you getting weaker
He did what he thought best .
He put his arm.s around you
And whispered, come and rest.
Too dearly loved to be forgotten.
