possibility of starting another
trailer park.
A suggested location was the
site of the old dump which is in
Morris Township but is owned •by
the Village of Brussels.
Reeve McCutcheon said:
"There appears there is a need
for this type of housing."
Paying way?
Councillor George Jutzi said he.,
didn't think the village should go
ahead with another park until
they knew for sure whether the
present park was paying its way,
and if the town was realizing its.
costs through the rental.
Now the existing trailer park is
operating at full capacity and
holds 10 trailers. At $35 a month,
there is little doubt, Reeve
McCutcheon said the village is
realizing its costs.
He said he foresaw no
problems if the village did not
build too big and built as demand
for trailer lots increased.
The next regular mind
meeting is to be held September
8.

Council discussed at Monday
night's meeting the type of
coverage the firemen should
have. At present with Frank
Cowan's Insurance Company, a
firm located near Woodstock, the
village has only accidental death
insurance which covers the men
only when they are on the job.
The firemen are also covered
under compensation, but council
was considering whether the
firemen should be covered under
a 24-hour life insurance plan.
Reeve McCutcheon said: "I
don!t know if you want to pay it to
the fire department or if it's
necessary or not." No decision
was made.
The Liquor Control Board
asked council's permission to
extend the sidewalk along Main
Street from the butcher shop to
East Huron Street at their own
cost. Council gave them the go
ahead.
Reeve McCutcheon suggested
council continue the sidewalk
from East Huron Street and finish
off the block. .
he said: "There is a lot of grass
growing between the blocks on
Main Street. It's really quite a
ss.
Following the council meeting,
a number of councillors plus the
reeve were going to take a look at
the sidewalk.
Reeve McCutcheon gave a
report on the Association of
Municipalities of Ontario, AMO,
meeting he attended in Toronto
Dollars
He said: "It is very difficult to
evaluate in dollars and cents the
value of attending these
conferences." He said AMO
cover the whole scope of concerns
involving municipalities.
A committee of council is
looking into the placement of six
street lights around the village.
At least, two will be saved for the
senior citizens apartment.
