In the pale light of candles
which glowed from candelabra
trimmed with white daisies,
Karen Dickson of Belmore
became the bride of Paul Moffatt
of Bluevale in Knox Presbyterian
Church, Belmore, at seven
o'clock on Hune 14. Rev. Dennis
Freeman of Geraldton performed
the ceremony. Miss Evelyn
Dickson provided organ music
and accomnaniP;1,the soloist, M
rs. 'Elliott, who sang, "let
- There Be Peace" and "We've
Only Just Begun".
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Dickson of
Belmore and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mr. Stanley Moffatt of
Eiluevale.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride wore a floor-
length gown of white polyester.
The tiered skirt was trimmed with
white lace and covering the dress
a floor-length white pinafore
apron which was_trimmed with a
ruffle and tied in a large white
bow at the back. The gown
featured a jewel neckline and
short puffed sleeves.She carried a
bouquet of. baby mums, yellow
roses and green ivy.
In identical dresses of pale
yellow figured acetate were her
attendants, her three sisters,
Twyla, as maid of honor, Mary
and Joan as bridesmaids. The
floor-length dresses were styled
with shirred bodices and ruffled
straps. They carried bouquets of
white and yellow daisies.

Rev. E. G. Nelson of Scaforth
performed the ceremony before
an arch decorated with ever-
greens, blue and pink roses, and
orange lilies, on Saffirday, June
28, at seven o'clock. Mrs. Mary
Eccles, aunt of the bride, of
Holstein, was organist. Among
the numbers she played were
favorites of the bridal couple,
"Today" and "Somewhere My
Love".
Parents of the groom are 'Mr.
and Mrs.Arnold Gake of R.R.1,
lifford.
Given in marriage by her

standup collar and long lily-point

tinted blue to match her dress.

A reception followed in the
Howick Community Centre
where the brides table was
centered with a cake made and
decorated by the groom's mother.
The Moran Brothers played music
for dancing.
The bride's mother wore a
floor-length gown of pale green
figured polyester with a sheer
jacket, Her corsage was white
carnations with a yellow bow. The
groom's mother chose a floor-
length gown of peach with a
figured bodice and matching
jacket. A corsage of white
carnations with a peach bow
completed her ensemble.

her 88th birthday on. Thursday,
July 17th.

The man's car st ailed in heavy
traffic as the light turned green.
All his efforts to start the engine
failed and a steady chorus of
honking behind him made
matters worse. He finally got out
of his car and walked back to the
first driver.
"I'm very sorry," he said, "but
I justs can't seem to get my car
started. If you'll go up there and
give it a try, I'll stay here and
blow your horn for you."
Mrs. Roy.Bennett has arrived
home' following a ,week's vacation
at the home of her son Horace and
Mrs. Rutledge and family in
London.

attended the Clark Reunion at
Seaforth Lion's Park on Sunday.
Miss Lynne Taylor of Kintail
spent the past week holidaying
with her grandparents, Mr. and

and Jamie spent the weekend at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allan
McCall. Betty Currie and Jamie
remained for a few days longer.
