The two racing events are the

Mr. Riley said you can expect the
horses in the half mile event to
have sonic thoroughbred in them
so they have a strong finish. -
The events are arranged for
three' types of horses - • the
pleasure, the game and the racing
horse. "If you have a race horse,
you've got to keep it for racing,"
Mrs. Riley said.

Game Horses -
Game horses will be involved in
the timed races like the flag race
where the rider must pick up a
flag on a pole from a barrel. move
around the barrels and drop the
flag in a barrel. The rider who
does this in the quickest time
wins.
Two fun. races are the ladies
goat decorating contest and the
junior 'open steady hand race.
Mrs. Riley said normally in the
goat decorating contest the rider
jumps from her horse, thrOws the
goat down and tics the animal's
feet.

busiest time of the year for their rider holds a glass of colored
water and goes through a ikalk,
trot and canter and the rider with
the most water at the end wins.
Mrs. Riley retently bought a .
side saddle and plans to ride it in
the parade. While riding she said
"Its very uncomfortable."

larger ones in the area, although
he said its only a hobby.
Mr. Riley said it wouldn't be

Mrs. Riley said the two stal-
