Squares
are good
at June
parties
June . . the month of
graduation parties, bridal
showers and other springtime
festivities. There has to be lots of
food for buffets, teas or more
formal dinners. Sweets are a must
as guests whirl in and out
amongst diplomas, gifts and
drinks.
Although tarts, petits
fours and fancy cookies are a •
delight to eat, they can become
quite expensive if made in large
quantities. F6r an economical
sweet to serve on any occasion,
try "Butterscotch Oat Squares"
from Food Advisory Services,
Agriculture Canada. Y' ou can
make quite a few batches at a
fairly low cost.

good from

In spite, of the rather poor

The large number of donations
to the sale sold fairly well while
those on consignment did not
bring the expected prices.
. Ron Ball was the auctioneer
and Danny Pearson the sales
chairman.
