The congregation of Knox
United Church, Belgrave was
privileged to participate with the
members of the Sunday School in
th eir annual church school
anniversary and flower service,
Sunday morning,
The senior class, composed of
teenagers, planned and were in
charge of the service. The church

JUDY LEDREW, daughter of
Rev. and Mrs. Eric LeDrew,
recently graduated from Marvel
Beauty School, London. She is
now employed at William's Hair
Styling in Listowel.

A dialogue concerning the
meaning of the banners' symbols,
the dove,. the burning bosh and
the open bible was given by•
Donelda Lamont and Howard
Roberts,
The y outh choir chose as. their
numbers "23rd Psalm" and
"Black and White", the Junior
choir: ".Michael-, row your boat
. ashore" and "They'll know we,
are Christians by our Love"; and•
the combined. choir rendered the
"Lord's Prayer" . and the
Recessional.
The Scripture reading was
taken by GAry Hopper, a reading
by Janice Coultes and- prayer by
Wayne Cook.
Rev. John Roberts and George
was filled to capacity, Many
coming from distant areas to
celebrate the United. Church's
fiftieth birthday with friends of
childhood days, reminisce and
review old picture's on display in
the church school room.
Miss Lynda Lentz, organist of
the church presided, assisted by
guitarists Dale Lougheed,Doreen
AndersOn , Alison Roberts and
harmonica;• .player, Dwight
Lamont.
the entry to the church and the
sanctuary were made beautiful
with baskets of multicoloured
flowers. An eye-catching ,white
slab cake with Happy 50th
Birthday in gold lettering, yellow
candles, roses and gold leaves
flanked with containers of white
flowers caught attention- on entry
into, the sanctuary, •. -
The front the centre of
attraction was a large three tiered
birthday cake complete with
lighted candles, and the church
crest. A banner bearing the
symbol of each' of the three
churches in. Union added to the
beauty.
The theme of this year's service
was "Youth", and this thought
was carried throughout the
worship service. Following the
processional 'Sing a Song" with
guitar accompaniment The Call to
Worship was given by Dale
Lougheed. As an introduction to
the service Glenn Coultes read
the minutes of the organizational
meeting of Knox United Sunday
Michie presented the Sunday
School attendance awards,
followed by doreen Taylor giving
the announcements.
George Procter
Superintendent, introduced the
guest speaker, Norman. Keating
of Vlringharn, who had previously
served .as. Superintendent for
seven years in Belgrave. he based
his fine remarks on
"Recreation", ending with a
poem "New and Old Friends".
After the REcessional "All Day
All Night" a chicken barbecue
was enjoyed on the church lawn.
The large congregation was a
token of appreciation of a very
upligting and inspiring
experience which seems
unsurpassable.
DONALD HARRIS GIBSON,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Gibson, Brussels, graduated from
Fanshawe College of Applied
Arts and Technology with a
:diploma in Business Admillistra-
tion with a major in Marketing.
Convocation exercises were held
on Friday, May '30, 1975 at
Alumni Hall, University of
Western Ontario.

Association held its regular
meeting iri Seaforth recently with
the new President, Eileen
O'Brien of Goderich in the chair.
Routine reports were given by
G. Richardson, Clinton; E.
Fisher, Mitchell; I. Forsyth
Kippen; and a Finance
Committee meeting was chaired
by A. Dunsmote, Stratford.
It was reported that as A
cooperative effort with the Huron
County Health Unit, the
Association, would ceitiduct
Pulmonary Function Tests at the
Clinton Fair and that the,
Screening Cornmitted had set up
t he ihaciiine at the Stratford Mall
to celebrate 50 years of Milting in
Ontario,
The V nuth Board of the Association are planning to enter
