Scott
On Saturday afternoon and
evening a trousseau tea was held
by Mrs. Kenneth Scott in honour
of her daughter Ila. The groom's'
grandnuither Mrs. Annie Harris
of Wingha.m poured tea. Girls
helping display the trousseau
were Beth de Bruyn of Clifford,
Pat Angus of Wingham and Joy
Naus of Strathroy.
'Helping in the
kitchen were Violet Th ompson of
Holyrood, Karen; !patsy and
AudreY Scott. Special guests from
Bookhaven Nursing 1-16)roe in
Wingham were MrS. Minnie

— No we hadn't either and we were pretty surprised
when someone brought this old photo by H.R.Brewer
of Brussels into our office,Then we caught on to the
Belgrave
Mr-. and Mrs. John Spivey and
family,. of Ingersoll visited on
Sunday with her parents Mr. and'
Mrs. Harold procter also visited
with her aunt Miss Margaret
Curtis who is a patient in
VVingham and District Hospital.
Mrs: Jean Wills of Milton spent
a few days last week with Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Anderson and family
and also visited other relatives in
the area.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cantelon
of Tweed and Miss Linda
Cantelon of Toronto were
'weekend visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Harry McGuire. Mrs.
Cantelon remained for a few
days.
We are sorry to hear that
Clarence Hanna is a patient in
Victoria Hospital. We all wish
him a speedy recovery."

Bridgeport, Conn. is visiting with'
her cousin Mr. and Mrs. George

On Thursday, June 5, grade 5
and 6 went on a bus trip. We first
-visited the newspaper office in
Goderich. There wesaw how the
pages of a newspaper are put
together, photographed and
processed to make the
newspaper, We received a copy 1
of the Goderich Signal Star. 0
We ate our lunch at the
Goderich Park and then continued
on to Wingharn. There we saw the 0
development of type from the 01
single raised letter to the whole
line, We were able to type a story :A
of our visit on the linotype f
machine.. Mr. Wenger put our
story in a galley and ran it off on
the Heidelberg Press. We each
received a copy of the story,

the weekend with her sister N, Mrs,Warren Zurbrigg of R,R,2, T:
Clifford and visited with Mr.
Zurbrigg who is a patient in
Wingham and District Hospital.

Conference at Keswick in the
Muskoka District on the weekend.
The theme speaker at the
conference was 'Dr. Ernest
and Miss Marjorie' Procter of
Sarnia attended the • 147th
Anniversary Service of St.
Philip's Church, Etobicoke on
Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Procter
received word that Michael
McNall has arrived at Hudson
Bay.
This community wishes to

Amelia Brown who celebrated her

Toronto.
Mrs. Wilfred Coultes and her
mother Mrs. McMullin" of
Manitoulin Island recently visited

An open house was held at
Bodium Bull Test Station on
Wednesday June 11. A bus load
of Manitoulin Island beef farmers
attended the day as well as beef
men from a wide area.
A surprise. shower for Miss Ila
Scott was held on June 4th at
Mrs. Susan Talton's home.Guests
were employees from Brookhaven
Nursing Home and girls who Ila
bowled 'with,
Several games were given by
Jean Thompson, Susan Tolton
and Marie Henry. Ila received
many very useful gifts also a
lovely china cabinet.
