The team lost two gaines early in June, 6 to 5 to Brodhagen and 9 to 2 to Kirkton. Both teams could have won either game as Kirkton scored 5 runs in the final inning to put the game out of reach, While Brodhagen had to fight back from a 3 run defecit. Last week they lost -41-2 to Baden in a poorly played ,game and then lost 6 to 2 while watching the . Wellesly pitcher strike out 21 batters. The ball team is convinced that they can win in this "league by playing-the type of ball that they are capable of playing. They play' competitive ball . against strong teams with vetygood pitchers. Batting will improve as the men' get used to facing faster and more cobsistent•pitcherSthan they have seen in the. past. With a little support from the Brussels and area ball 'fans,- the Brussels Intermediate Men, could win a lot of ball , games this year. TENNIS ANYONE? — Laurie Moore makes use of the tennis courts at the far end of the Lions Park in Brtissels one day this week.
