Smiles
One day, instead of the usual
hot meals, the school cafeteria
served peanut butter and jelly
sandwiches as the entree. After
lunch, a satisfied first-grader,
marching out the door,
complimented the cafeteria
manager: "Finally, you gave us a
home-cooked meal."
Observing one of his carpenters
hammering away, the job
foreman finally said to him:
`Man, you hammer like
lightning,"
"You mean I'm fast?" beamed
the carpenter.
"No," said the foreman. "I
mean you seldom strike twice in
the same place."

25. In Memoriam
JACKLIN — In loving memory of
a dear mother Gertie Jacklin who
passed away one year ago June 5,
1974.
One year has passed since that
sad day,
When God took you home it
was His will,
In tears I saw you sinking
Then 'watched you slowly
slipping away.
You fought so hard to stay
But wheal saw you sleeping
So peacefully free from all your
Spain
I could not wish you back
To suffer through it all so long
again
To some you may be forgotten
To others part of the •past
But to me who loved and lost
you
Your memory will always last.
— Sadly missed and ever
remembered by your daughter
Mildred. 25-79x1
