scholarships of $100 from Huron
County go to Donald R. McGee,
Goderich, and Maxine Louise
Bowes, Blyth, this year.
The County of Huron may well
have an ensign of its own soon.

graduation.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hibberd
visited in Walkerton on Sunday.
In the recent canvass for the
Salvation Army Red Shield
campaign in the village $148.25
was realized.

Lougheed, members of the
Luelcnow Concert Band left last
Thursday for a, three day trip with
the band. They played concerts at
schools in Burgessville, Norwich,
Burlington and Oakville and on
Saturday took part in the parade
at the Lions Club Convention in
Hamilton.

hosts birthday
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Luther led a song service in the chapel
Sunday evening sponsored by the Christian Women's Club.
The Mathonia Family of Zurich provided a musical program
on. Family Night. George Mathonia and his two sons,
Raymond and Peter, play as a group, and provide solo
numbers with accordians. Margaret Kehn thanked the
entertainers on behalf of the residents.
The Bluevale Women's Institute were hosts for the May
Birthday Party with Mrs. Wendell Stamper emcee for the
afterndon. Mrs. Donald Street and Mrs. Carl Johnston led a
sing-a-long of action song and requests. Miss Karen
Armstrong danced two Scottish numbersthe sword dance'and
.highland fling. The twenty -two residents having birthdays
this month received gifts from the institute and Mrs. Wagner
who was celebrating her eightieth birthday on Wednesday
expressed the appreciation of the residents.
The Ladies of North Street United Church in Goderich
sponsored a scenic drive and picnic supper at Menesetung
Camp for their church members. Twelve residents took
advantage of the outing which they thoroughly enjoyed.
