On Saturday, May 17, Nelson Kerr of RR 2 Woodbridge was involved in a single car accident on Highway 87, east of the junction of Highway 86. There were no injuries. Damages were estimated at $210.00. On Sunday, May 18, 1975, Ian R. Oakley of Wroxeter and Robert J. MacTavish of RR 1 Bluevale were involved in a collision on County Road 29 at Queen -Street, Wroxeter. (Photo by Langlois) OPP reports accidents Recent investigations were carried out by officers at Wingham Detachment include: Twelve investigations with twelve persons charged under the Liquor Control Act. Seventeen charges laid and twenty-eight warnings issued under the Highway Traffic Act. Twenty-two other investigations. On Thursday, May 22, Larry CINI of Toronto was involved in a single car accident on Highway 86 at Highway 87, Turnberry Township. There were no injuries, and total damages were, estimated at $200.00. On Friday, May 23, Brian P. Doherty of Waterloo, was involved in a single car accident on Highway 86, west of the. Zetland Bridge, Turnberry Township when his vehicle left the north edge of the road, struck a guide post, crossed sideroad 17, went through guide posts, down an embankment, rolled over and came to rest in the river. Mr. Doherty was injured as a result of the accident. Damages to his vehicle were estimated at $2700.00. On Thursday, May 22, Reuben Hershlierger, age 7, was injured when he ran into the left rear corner of a vehicle driven by Alan Willits of R.R.#1,. Wingham. The accident occurred on County Road 12, south of County Road 7, Howick Township. On Friday, May 23, Vernice Prescott of R.R.3, Brussels, was involved in a single car accident on Sideroad 30-31, north of Concession 11-12, Grey Township when his vehicle went into the west ditch. There were no, injuries; On Tuesday, May 13, William R, Walsh of Kincardine was involved in a single cat accident on Highway 86 at the Zetland Bridge when a pedestrian, Frederick, J. Krohn of RR 3 Win hams ran into the left side of his vehicle and Was injured as a result of the accident: Daniages to the Walsh vehicle were estimated at $100.00. On ThUrSday, May 15, a vehicle Owned by Bryan F. Nixdorf of Brussels was parked on 'Turn- berry Street, Brussels with the engine running, when it was put in gear by Kenneth R. Purdon, age 2. The vehicle crossed the sidewalk and struck a building causing $400.00 damages. There were no injuries. Thomas H. Dayman of Hanover was involved in a single car accident on Sideroad 25-26, south of Concession 12, Turnberry Township when his vehicle entered the west ditch and rolled over. No one was injured and damages to the Dayman vehicle were estimated at $2,500.00. On Friday, May 16 Marie L. Robinson of RR 2 Gorrie and Ronald C. Riley of Wroxeter were involved in a collision on John Street at Nelson Street, Gorrie. There were no injuries. Damages were estimated at $700.00. Johann Neumayer of Kitchener and Nelson Langdon of Palmer- ston were involved in a collision on Highway 86, east of the Jet. Road to Bluevale, Morris Twp. Injured as a result of the collision were Johan n Neumayer; Frank Neymayer and Tony Neumayer all of Kitchener. Damages to the Neumayer vehicle were estimated 4 --THE F3RUSSELS P05T 0 MAY 28 1975 The Brussels Dart League, active in the winter months, held their annual banquet to bring to a close the season and present awards to the winners of the various competitions held throughout the dart playing months. Award winners were: Mixed: Women - Kay McWhirter - Most Starts, Most Finishes and Most Points. Men - Glen Bridge - Most Starts, Jack McWhirter, Most Finishes and Most Points. Series - Team - Elson Speiron, Russ Hall, Jack Cox, Barb Knight, Jean McNeil. A Champions. Team - Ross Duncan, Clem McLellan, Jane- White, Dorothy Cox, Mick . Connoby B Walton Mr. and Mrs. David Kerley and children of Toronto spent last Saturday with Mrs. Walter Broadfoot. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hinchley of Owen Sound visited one day last week at the same home. Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Achilles returned home Sunday evening from a trip to Hearst and Sioux Narrow, visiting relatives.
