April 5th at the Brussels Legion. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion served a lovely dinner which was followed by a sing-song lead by Marie McGa vin and accompanied at the piano by Donald Dunbar. A meeting followed and prizes and trophies were then presented by President, Ross Veitch assisted by Norman Hoover, the, secretary-treasurer. Three investigations with three persons charged under the Liquor Control Act. Ten charges laid and twenty warnings issued under, the Highway Traffic Ad. Thirteen other • investigations with one person charged. On Tuesday, April 1, Robert D. Klinck of Elmira was involved in a' single car accident on County Road 25 at County Road 12, Grey Township when he slid through the intersection, and collided with a guide rail. Mr. Klinck was not injured. Damages were estimated at $125.00. Deborah Humphrey of Wingham was involved in a single car accident on County Road 7, east of Sideroad 15-16, Turnberry Township when the vehicle she was driving went off the road into the north ditch and strucKa fence post. There were no injuries, and damages were estimated at $715.00. On Wednesday, April 2, David J. Cordingley of R,R.#2, Hornbey, Ontario was involved in a single car accident on Highway 9, south of the Huron-Bruce County Line, Howick Township. His vehicle went into the west ditch, struck a tree and came to rest in a field. Mr. Cordingley was injured as a result of the accident. Total damages were estimated at $5750.00. William J. Scott• of R.R.14 Ripley and Brian A. Hanlon of Wingham were involved in collision on Highway 87, east of County Road 33, Hovvick Township. No one was injtered, and damages were estimated at $500.00, On Thursday, April 3, Gerald R, Doig of Vordwich and canton R. Smith of Wroxeter Were involved in a collision on Highway 87, east of Junction Hwy: 86; Turnberry ToWnship, There Were no injuries, and damages were estimated at $1800.00: On Friday; April 4; 1975, Gordon M. McLeod of London and Stuart E. Doug Rathwell, Diane Ladies' High Singles Heather Vogan Judy Lee Roxy Jacklin Ladies' Triple Heather Vogan Men's High Singles Ralph Triebner Ron Forshaw Gord acklin Michelle McCutcheon and Carol Wheeler competed at the Ontario Spring Invitational Skating Championship at Memorial Gardens North Bay Easter Week-end. Carol brought home the estimated at $750.00. Elaine A. McKinnon of Gorrie and James 0. Riley of Wroxeter were involved in a collision on Highway 87, east of the Junction of Highway 86, Turnberry Township. No one was injured. Total 'damages were estimated-at $1575.00. ' Robert J. Hart of Pt. Lambton was involved in a collision with a vehicle owned by Elaine A. McKinnon. The McKinnon vehicle had been involved in a prior collision and was parked on the westbound lane in a drifting area, where the visibility was Nil. There were no injuries, and total damages were estimated at ct 700.00. Blake 46 3rd.-Brian Adams, Aileen Mutter; Brad Speiran, Jim Mc- Lelland 45 4th - MurrayHoover, Isabel Rath- well, Ralph Locking, Mary Ireland 44 Glen Rathwell and rink also won the D.A.Rann trophy for the overall points of the year. honours from that competition freeskate of 12 entries and 2nd in Bronze Interpretive out of 15 entries. This qualified her for the finals. in which she placed 6th. She won awards for the Novice Pairs with Blaine Moore placing 1st out of 4 pair. For. this they received a gold 'medal and a trophy. with a 4th in Novice ladies Belgrave Midgets win . trophy again final game on. Wednesday, April. 2 and' defeted Kurt?yille to win the trophy. The boys, showed y their great team effort by winning 5 to 4. It was a very exciting game ; with both teams playing well. At t the end of the third period it was , tied 4 to 4 which meant ten minute overtime was necessary. The Nameless Ones 84 Skaters in North Bay are coming back to HURON MEN'S CHAPEL AUBURN this SUNDAY night APRIL 13 8 p.m. They are heard throughout many parts of Canada and U.S.A. as well as Singing in the Gospel Music Conventions in Nash- ville, Tennessee. PLUS Rev. Wayne Wardell, noted youth speaker and minister of Missionary Church in St. Thomas. The Belgrave Midgets ronnded up another exciting season this year by defeating Belmore to win., the trophy.The final game was held on Monday, March 31 and Belgrave won 2 to 1. We would like to congratulate the whole team for a fine season and especially congratulate Dwight Lamont for his fine goalie ability which was brought out in thelast game. Everyone who attended the games is thanked for their support.
