The annual Curling Club
banquet and dance was held. April
5th at the Brussels Legion. The
Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion
served a lovely dinner which was
followed by a sing-song lead by
Marie McGa vin and
accompanied at the piano by
Donald Dunbar.
A meeting followed and prizes
and trophies were then presented
by President, Ross Veitch
assisted by Norman Hoover, the,
secretary-treasurer.

On Tuesday, April 1, Robert D.
Klinck of Elmira was involved in a'
single car accident on County
Road 25 at County Road 12, Grey
Township when he slid through
the intersection, and collided with
a guide rail. Mr. Klinck was not
injured. Damages were
estimated at $125.00.
Deborah Humphrey of
Wingham was involved in a single
car accident on County Road 7,
east of Sideroad 15-16, Turnberry
Township when the vehicle she
was driving went off the road into
the north ditch and strucKa fence
post. There were no injuries, and
damages were estimated at
$715.00.
On Wednesday, April 2, David
J. Cordingley of R,R.#2,
Hornbey, Ontario was involved in
a single car accident on Highway
9, south of the Huron-Bruce
County Line, Howick Township.
His vehicle went into the west
ditch, struck a tree and came to
rest in a field. Mr. Cordingley was
injured as a result of the accident.
Total damages were estimated at
$5750.00.

Ripley and Brian A. Hanlon of
Wingham were involved in
collision on Highway 87, east of
County Road 33, Hovvick
Township. No one was injtered,
and damages were estimated at
$500.00,
On Thursday, April 3, Gerald
R, Doig of Vordwich and canton
R. Smith of Wroxeter Were
involved in a collision on Highway
87, east of Junction Hwy: 86;

no injuries, and damages were
estimated at $1800.00:

Robert J. Hart of Pt. Lambton
was involved in a collision with a
vehicle owned by Elaine A.
McKinnon. The McKinnon
vehicle had been involved in a
prior collision and was parked on
the westbound lane in a drifting
area, where the visibility was Nil.
There were no injuries, and total
damages were estimated at
ct 700.00.

April. 2 and' defeted Kurt?yille to
win the trophy. The boys, showed y
their great team effort by winning
5 to 4. It was a very exciting game ;
with both teams playing well. At t
the end of the third period it was ,
tied 4 to 4 which meant ten
minute overtime was necessary.
It has been several years since the
Bantams have won the trophy for
Belgrave and were very pleased
to bring it back to Belgrave, The I;
coaches and -spectators are ,

The Belgrave Midgets ronnded
up another exciting season this
year by defeating Belmore to win.,
the trophy.The final game was
held on Monday, March 31 and
Belgrave won 2 to 1. We would
like to congratulate the whole
team for a fine season and
especially congratulate Dwight
Lamont for his fine goalie ability
which was brought out in thelast
game. Everyone who attended
the games is thanked for their
support.
Belgrave Bantams played their time.
