nights
coming
in Huron
The first MUsic Nights' for
Huron County Board of Education
schools were held in 1974.
Rehearsals 'have begun for this
year's concerts which will be held
in three locations in the county.
Performing groups will range
from small ensembles, through
classroom and school choirs, to a
massed choir of all participants. •
Ukulele, recorder and school
bands will perform. Students
from the kindergarten age to
senior secondary school will be
represented.
. The first 1975 Music Night will
be held on Tuesday, April 29 at
F.E. Madill Secondary School.
Participating schools-will be Blyth
Public School, Brussels Public
School, East Wawanosh Public
School, Grey Central Public
School, Howick Central Public
School, North Ashfield Public
School, Turnberry Central Public
School and Wingham Public
School and F. E. Madill Secon-
dary School 'and Goderich District
collegiate Institute.
On Wednesday May 7, at
Goderich District Collegiate Insti-
1 ute the second concert will be
presented. Brookside Public
School, Clinton Public School,
Colborne Central Public School,
Holmesville Public School,
Hullett Central Public School,
Robertson Memorial Public
School and Victoria Public School
as well as Central Huron Secon-
dary School and Goderich District
Collegiate Institute will take part
on that evening.
• The third concert will be held at
South Huron. District High School
on , Wednesday, May 14 with
Exeter Public School, Hensall
Public School, J.A.McCurdy Pub-
lic School, Seaforth Public School,
Stephen Central Public School,
Usborne Central Public School
and Zurich Public School
performing.

The Cranbrook Stylistics held
their third meeting on
Wednesday, March 26 at 7:30
p.m. at the home of Sylvia
Vanderveen. The roll call was
answered by all seven members.
The discussion included "Suit the
Occasion" and "Wardrobe Har-
mony". Miss Vanderveen and
Mrs. Lefor showed the girls how
to alter patterns. The meeting
closed and the hostess served
lunch. The fourth meeting of
the Cranbrook Stylistics was held
on Wednesday, April 2 at 7 :30
p.m. at the home of Mrs. N.
Lefor. Jeanette Vanderveen was
absent. Mrs. Lefor demonstrated
how to make tailor tacks. Miss
Vanderveen showed the members

At the weekly euchre in the
Belgrave Community rooms on
Wednesday evening only three
tables of euchre were played, this
was due to the snow storm. The
winners were: High Lady - Mrs.
Lorne Jameson; Novelty Lady -
Lorne Jamieson (Playing as a
lady); Low Lady - Mrs. Lawrence
Taylor; High Man - William
Taylor; Novelty Man - Fred
Porter; Low Man Lawrence
Taylor.

guests of honor at a "Going-
Away" party held recently in the.
Cranbrook Hall.
Dancing was enjoyed and
during the evening Mr. and Mrs.
McLellan were presented with the
gift of a china cabinet.

fellow members of the Optimist
Club of Brussels before their
leaving this community to live at
R.R.7, London, Ontario.
4-H group
picks name
The Ethel #1 4-H Club
members held their second
meeting on March 18th at the
horfie of Debbie Demaray.
The roll call, "What are your
activities?" was answered by
each member. We decided to call
our group "The Sty listics". The
meeting was closed with the 4-H
Motto.
At the third meeting everyone
showed their pattern and fabric
and gave reasons for their choice
of each They discussed the
planning of wardrobe so you will
have clothes suitable for different
occasions. Notes must be handed
in complete by May- 23rd and
Achievement Day will be on May
31 at Grey Central School.
