AGRICULTURAL HISTORY - This calf, .now owned
by Auld Croft Farms of R.R.1, Ethel, was
transplanted as an embryo from her actual mother to
this "adoptive" mother, left. The calf is believed to
be the first embryo transplant produced by a
commercial transplant service in Ontario.

• Twelve brave people ignored snow and freezing weather to take a "Polar Dip"
in the Maitland on Saturday at the Brussels Lions Polar Daize. Charging into the
river to retrieve plastic jugs, some with money in them, was this hardy bunch.
