DIAL DIRECT 887 6641 Walton farmer wins trophy The annual meeting of the Banner Counties Ayrshire cattle club was held recently in the Gravelridge Women's Institute Hall with about 75 breeders from Waterloo, Wellington, • Grey & Bruce, Huron — Perth attending the banquet and meeting. Highlights of the meeting was the presenation of 4-H awards top winner was Irene Forrest of WellesKy; Stephen Westman of Milverton was second, in the Clubs Competition also of local interst John Carvalo and Sons of Walton won *the Ballantyne Trophy for the top producing cow, John Oldfield and Son Brian of Seaforth received certificates for the highest production for Jr. 2 year., Jr. 3 Year and Senior 4 year cows. The Oldfield herd also received the award for the highest herd average in the club with a production of 13,136 lbs. of milk and 522 lbs. of fat. B.C.A. of 165 and 160. The Secretary reported the club has 25 new members for 1975 the most ever. Wilfred Kuntz of Mildmay was elected president andMrs. Kathryn Hunsberger of New Dundee, Secretary.
