Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Armstrong visited on Sunday with her father Herson Irwin and her mother, Mrs. Irwin who is a patient in Wingham and District Hospital also with his mother, Mrs. Mary Armstrong , a patient in Wingham and District Hospital. SEASON'S GREETINGS TO ALL H4,1,(Flonk) TenPos News of Belgrave School Fair elects officers for 1975 a Correspondent Mrs,Lewis Stonehouse The annual meeting of the Belgrave, Blyth and Brussels School Fair was held on Dec. 5th, in the Belgrave Community Centre. Mrs. Leslie Bolt conducted the election of officers and directors for the 1975 fair which will be held on Wednesday, September 10th. All the executive will remain in office for the coming year. Several new directors were appointed, on the 4th line Morris, George Procter and Garner Nicholson, 12th Line East Wawanosh, Murray Shiell, Belgrave, Mrs. John Guay, Brussels, Mrs. Kenneth Johnston and Chester Higgins, with the rest of the previous ye ar directors being re-elected. Mrs George Procter was appointed an. 2 ,iditor. The next meeting is slated for January 28, 1975. Elect New Officers The Evening Unit met December 3 at the home of Mrs. William Coultes with 17 present. Mrs. Laura Johnston opened the meeting with a poem "The Most Priceless Gift of Christmas" followed by hymn "Good Christian Men Rejoice". Mrs. Laura Johnston conducted the business. It was decided to continue the birthday parties. Officers for the coming year were then elected. Leader - Mrs. Murray Lougheed; Assistant Leader - Mrs. Robert Taylor; Secretary - Mrs. Bert Johnston; Assistant Secretary - Mrs. Laura Johnston; Tr easurer - 'Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler; Program Convener - Mrs. William Coultes; Social Committee - Mrs. Murray Vincent, Mrs. James Coultes; Community Friendship - Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse; Group Leaders - Miss Annie Cook, Mrs. Ross Higgins, Mrs. Jack Higgins. The collection was received and dedicated by Mrs. Johnston. The Coultes Sisters then favoured with two songs "Grandfather's Clock" and "Away in a Manger" accompanied by Mrs. William Coultes on the piano. Mrs. Ross Higgins and Mrs. George Johnston were in charge of the combined Christmas Worship and Prbgram service, the theme being "'it is His Day": Singing of Christmas Carols were followed by the call to worship given by Mrs. Ross Higgins. "0 Come All Ye Faitfhul" was sung and all joined in the responsive reading. Prayer Was given by Mrs. George Johnston with scripture passage Luke 2 - 8 - 20 read by Mrs. Ross Higgins. The singing of "0 Little Town of Bethelehem" was followed by meditation given by Mrs.George Johnston. Christmas stories were read by Mrs. Ross Anderson, Mrs.Cliff Logan, Mrs. James Coultes and Mrs. Jack Higgins. A poem "Christmas Joy" by Mrs. Laura Johnston. Singing of "Joy to the World " and the closing prayer by Mrs. Ross Higgins brought the Christmas meeting to a close. W.M.S. Meets The W.M.S. met in Presbyterian Church December 3. Mrs. Garner Nicholson presided. "As With Gladness Men of Old" was sung and Scripture was read by Mrs. J,C.1.1.4cBtirriey. Meditation was on "The FirSt Day of Christ tnas" read tr.. Born and educated in Bluevale, she was the former Eleanor Beatrice Thornton, a daughter of Nr the late George Omer Thornton tt_ and Eleanor Mary Peacock. JACKIWICKSTEAD Funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 24 for Mrs. Jack Wickstead of R.R.5, Brussels, (3rd concession of Morris Township) who died at Victoria Hospital, London on Sunday, November 24.Reve. E.L. LeDrew of Brussels officiated at the service in the Bluevale United !of 11 1974 Victor Youngblut. The roll call was answered with a Christmas verse. Everyone contributed by reading a Christmas story or peom. Hymn "While Shepherds Watch Their Flocks by Night" was sung. Mrs. Garner Nicholson closed the meeting with a prayer., Junior Auxiliary holds Christmas Social On Saturday evening , December 7, the Junior Auxiliary girls held their Christmas social in the Belgrave Community Centre. the hall was decorated with a Christmas tree laden with gifts. The programme opened with recitations of welcome by Ruth Higgins, Heather Shiell, Katherine Procter and Sara Lougheed. A welcome song was sung by all the girls. Recitations were also given by Anne Procter, Joan Higgins, Cathy Shiell, Lisa Thompson, Julie Guay, Sheila Anderson, Kelly Lougheed and Audrey Scott. "Christmas" was sung by the girls. Duets were sung by Sheila 'Anderson and Kelly Lougheed, Patti. Edwards and Audrey Scott, Arlie Guay and Cathy Shiell. • Piano solos were given by Joan "Higgins, Sheila Anderson and Kelly Lougheed. Piano duet by Lisa Th ompson and Cathy Shiell. The "Twelve Days of Christmas" was sung by twelve girls. A number was given by Lisa Thompson with her Baton. A Nativity Scene was given by all the girls. The program closed with carol singing and Santa Claus arrived on schedule to the great delight of the smaller children and distributed gifts and bags of candy. Lunch was served by the girls. On Saturday evening, December 14, the girls will present their program for the residens at Brookhaven Nursing Home at Wingham, Ontario. Win at Euchre Seven tables of euchre were played in the Belgrave Community Centre last Wednesday evening with winners as follows: High Lady - Mrs. Clarence Hanna; Low Lady - Mrs. Edgar Wightman. High Man - Clarence Hanna; Low Man - Charles Nicholson. Personals Lorne and Stewart Jamieson received word last Saturday morning of the sudden passing of their brother-in-law , John Tillie of Thamesford in the Victoria
