Huron Horne Care workers
plan party for Christmas McCutcheon Grocery
The Huron County Family
Home Care Workers met at
Conestoga College, Clinton on
Thursday of last week when they
were joined by some of the Home
Care Workers from Perth.
After the business was com-
pleted, President Rita Duncan
introduced speaker Mrs. Esther
Ross from the County Children's
Aid Society. She discussed the
need of the Children's Aid for
mature women to -be on call in
emergency situations of the
Society, being able and willing to
go into a home on short notice to
keep a family together. She
expressed the hope that some of
the Family Home Care Workers
would be able to take on this
responsibility. After a question
period, Mrs. Ross received the
names of some who were
interested in this, area of care.
Mrs. Betty Cardno, Adminis-
trator of the Home Care Program,
discussed the proposed increase
in wages and the present amount
of work in each area. She
reported that the Exeter, Wing-
ham and Goderich areas were
fairly busy while Seaforth and
Clinton are not providing as much
work.
Plans for the_.annual Christmas
Party at Conestoga College
Thursday, December 5 at 6:30

Smiles
The office Don Juan lost no time
in trying to impress the new
secretary. He launched into a•
recital of his accomplishment's on
the college' football team, on the
dance floor, in the army, and in
every other activity he could think
of.
When he finally finished his
monologue, the girl gazed at him
wide-eyed and asked, "Have you"
ever had a group portrait taken of
yourself?"
A surgeon, an architect and a
politician were arguing as to
whose profession was the oldest.
Said the surgeon: "Eve was
made from Adam's rib, and that
surely was a surgical operation."
"Maybe," said the architect,
"but prior to that, order was
created out of chaos, and that
was an architectural job."
"But," interrupted the
politician, "somebody created the
chaos first."
