Mrs. Julia Kerney is in Wind-
sor where •she will spend the
winter months with her sister.
Mr. & Mrs. Lyle Brothers of
Scarboro visited during the week-
end with Mrs. M. Skelton.
'Mrs. Ruth Hinton of London
was a visitor in Brussels early this
week. It is a pleasure to see, once
again, her artistic Christmas
scenes on the windows of some of
the business places, as they were
when she was a Brussels
resident.
Mrs. J. E. Pegelow, who is a
patient in Wingham and District
Hospital, is not improving as her
many friends had hoped for.
Mrs. Lloyd Hockridge and Mrs.

Recent invesigations carried
out by the OPP of Winghani
Detachment include;
Four investigations with four
persons charged under the Liquor
Control Act.
Thirteen charges and twenty-
four warnings issued under the
Highway Traffic Act.
Seventeen other investigations.
On Wednesday, November 13,
David. P, Rosart received minor
injuries when the vehicle he was
driving on Sideroad 15-16, south
of the C.N.R. track in Morris
Township, went onto the east
shoulder, hit a mail box,
swerved to the west shoulder,
rolled over and landed in a field.
Damages to the Rosart vehicle
were estimated at $3,000.00.
Edward W. Bauer of Wingham
was involved in a single car
accident on Highway 86, east of
Huron Road 22. He was not
injured, and damages to his
vehicle were estimated at
$400.00.
On Thursday, November 14,
Debora L. Hopper of R.R.#5,
Brussels was involved in a single
car accident on Concession 3, east
of Highway #4, when the car 'she
was driving entered the north
ditch and struck a tree. There
were no injuries. Damages were
estimated at $500.00.
Alan R. Robertson of London,
1$, was involved in a single car
accident on County Road #12,
south ofConcession 5-6, Grey
Township when the vehicle he
was driving left the east edge of
the road and struck a tree.
Damages to the vehicle were
estimated at $800.00. No one was
injured.
Bobby L. Brandon of R.R.2,
Teeswater was involved in a
single car accident on Highway
ti #4, south of thc Maitland River
Bridge,East Wawanosh

Township when the car he was
driving went sideways, spun
around and struck a sign post.
Mr. Brandon was not injured.
Damages were estimated at
$190.00.
Paul Gerber of St, Clements,
was involved in a single car
accident on Highway #86, east of
the Maitland River Bridge, Grey
Township when the vehicle he
was driving went off the roadway,
spun around and knocked out a
post. Mr.. Gerber was not injured,
and damages to his vehicle were
estimated at $300.00.
Harvey K. Dewers of R.R.#3,
Walkerton and Murray E. Edgar
of Wingham were involved in a
collision on Highway #4, north of
the C.P.R. Spur Line X-irrg,
Turnberry Township. No one was
injured, and damages were
estimated at $500.00.
Karen L. Weber of Walkerton
received injuries as a result of a,
single car accident on. Highway
#4, south of the Maitland River
Bridge, east Wawanosh
Township when the vehicle she
was driving went into the west
ditch and struck a tree. Damages
to the Weber vehicle were
estimated at $1000.00.
On Friday, November_ 15,
William D. Goldring of Chatham
was involved in a single car
accident on Highway #86, cast of
the C.N.R. X-ing, Turnberry
Twp.,when the vehicle he was
driving went into the north ditch
and struck a fence owned by
Murray Jenkins of R.R.#4,
Wingham. Damages were
estimated at $175.00. There were

R.R.#1, .Wingham was travelling
south on County Road #30, south
of Concession 6-7, Howick

Township when he struck a fence
on the west side of the road A pleasant evening was spent

Mrs. J. L. McCutcheon
entertained council members and
municipal officers and their wives
on Saturday evening.
Dinner was served by ladies of
St. John's Anglican Church and
after the dinner the guests were
entertained at s the McCutcheon
home and later went dancing.

Evelyn A. Thornton of
Listowel, was northbound on
Huron County Road #28 when she
skidded off the roadway and
struck a vehicle owned by David
W. Burbridge of Gorrie, which
was parked on the east shoulder
of the highway. No one was
injured, and damages were
estimated at $300.00.
Harry Barber of Guelph was
eastbound on Highway #9, when
he left the north edge of the
roadway, went into a ditch and
struck a tree, causing an
estimated $500.00 damage to his
vehicle. No one was injured.
On Saturday, November 16,
Walter Hecke of R.R.#4, Brussels
was travelling east on Mill Street,
west of Mechanic Street, Brussels
when he struck the rear of a
parked vehicle owned by Kenneth
J. Rutledge, which in turn struck
a parked vehicle owned by Donald
R. McCall. There were no
injuries and total damages were
estimated at $2,900.00.
On Sunday, November 17,
Archibald J. Mason of Blyth and
Helen M. Hetherington of
R.R.#3, Brussels were involved in
a collision on County Road #12,
north of Conpession 6-7, Brussels.
There were no injuries. Total
damages were estimated at
$1200.00.
