The. Home Economics Branch
of the Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture and Food is again
holding 4-H Homemaking Club
Achievement Days in Huron
County.
The girls are participating in
the current project, "The Club
Girl Entertains", which is
designed to help club members
gain confidence in the practice of
simple and gracious entertaining.
The, girls in each club have had
the opportunity to plan and
prepare refreshments for various
occasions, discuss table setting
and service, practise flower
arranging and discuss etiquette
for many occasions.
Miss Jane Pengilley, Home
Economist for Huron County, will
be conducting the following
Achievement Days throughout
the County:

Day dinner
A dinner was held at the Legion
Saturday with each township

McCutcheon, Brussels, Reeve
Charlie Thomas of Grey
Township; Warden of Huron Bill
Elston, Reeve of Morris Murray
Gaunt M.RP. and Rev. Eric
LeDrew participated.
Carol Raymond, winner of
Legion Essay, Diane Stephenson,
winner of Legion Poeni,
Susan Langlois, winner of Legion
Public Speaking contests were
,:mests at the dinner.
A good crowd was in
attendance and a dance -followed.
At the dinner a cheque for
$4,367.00 was presented to Pr
esident Jack Brewer by President
Marg. Brewer of the Ladies
Auxiliary to pay off the Legion
Mortgage which was burnt.
