Early signs indicate that the
reaction to the Brussels Minor
Hockey Skate-a-thou is very
enthusiastic. - Immediately
following distribution of sponsor
sheets last Wednesday, a wave of
eager young people blanketed the
village in a quest for sponsors and
in a very short time almost
everyone in the village had been
approached.
People soon discovered that
they had to start saying no or go
bankrupt as they were asked time
after time to sponsor. It is hoped
that sponsors will be patient with
our young people because even
though it gets exasperating to
keep refusing so many requests,
it is a little gratifying to see how
much these young people
willing to help in raising funds
minor hockey. It helps reido
the idea that they are willing
help in a worthwhile cause, j
given the chance. If perhaps I would like to sponsor a skate '
have not been approached,
that you have to do is talk
young person and I am sure t
you will be taken care of.
All skaters who have not
entered, are reminded that th
should do so immediately in or
that plans for November 23tdt
be finalized. Also, if any spoil•
sheets are filled, they can
turned in anytime to Jim Pt'
With your help we can make
Skate-a-thon a success,
