The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith of R.R.S, Brussels. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley McTaggart of R.R.3, Harriston are parents of the groom. Mrs. Madeline Steiss of Brussels was the organist, and Peter Dekkcre of Listowel, the soloist. Miss Carol Lake of London was maid of honor and Mrs. Janis Bray (sister of the bride), Miss Donna Smith, London; Miss Mary Lou McTaggart (sister of the groom) Harriston and Miss Heather Smith (sister of the bride), Brussels were bridesmaids. Miss Shelley Bray (niece of the bride) Brussels, was junior bridesmaid. The bride wore a long slender gown of pure silk crystallete styled with two flounces around the bottom, Empire waist with rose around the Victorian neckline, Belgium imported lace down the push-up puffy sleeves and tiny pearls on neckline and down front of waist and long silk lace trimmed train, The Juliet cap which held her four-tier silk illusion veil, was trimmed with matching lace and beads: She, carried a bouquet of yellow and white, ribbon roses: The birdesmaids were dressed alike in orange melon jersey floor-length halter gowns with matching jackets. The junior' bridesmaid wore an orange floor- length jersey short-sleeved gown accented with lace. They carried orange, yellow and white ribbon 'lilies in white baskets. Scott Pearson of London was best man. The ushers were Larry Bray (brother-lit-law of the bride); gtussels: John_ McLaughlin, Harriston: Bradley Smith (brother of the bride) Brussels and Ken Moore ; Waterlog., Junior usher was Kevin Smith (brother of the bride). The bride's 'mother chose a floor-length gown of .melon polyester, brocaded down the front. her corsage was white and yellow ribbon roses. The groom's mother wore a long blue figured chiffon gown with white and blue ribbon roses. A reception was held in El ma Community Centre. On their return from a wedding trip to Freeport, Barbados, the couple wily reside in Harriston. The bride is a graduat e of Listowel Secondary School and has been employed as a R.N.A. at Listowel Hospital. The groom, a graduate of Palmerston High School, is an employee of Canada Packers, Harriston. Seed pearls also accented a tiered lace headpiece which held in place a trailing silk illusion veil edged with scalloped embroidery. She carried a cascade of white gladioli with crimson rose buds and ivy. Miss Susan Smith, of London LAURIE — Lighted candelabra and baskets of. pink, white and blue mums formed the setting in Melville Presbyterian Church, Brussels on Saturday, June 29 at 4:30 p.m. when Barbara Ann Davidson and Robert James Laurie exchanged marriage vows in a double-ring ceremony solemnized by Rev. C.A.MeCarroll. Traditional wedding music was provided by Mrs. Joanne King, church organist who also accompanied the soloist Miss Linda Wilson of Brussels. The bride is the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Davidson: Brussels. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Laurie of Milverton. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a princess style floor-length gown of white polyester satin, with a long cathedral train held in place with tailored bow at the waist,The silk illusion elbow-length veil was held in place by a floral cluster. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses, pink carnations and white stephanotis. They were gowned alike in beige polyester knit with varigated green floral designs. Green velvet ribbon circled the high waist, bow in front. They carried a cascade of crimson gladioli. , Donald Andrew, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Toni and Bob Andrew, brothers of the groom, and Greg and Paul Wilson, brother of the bride. All the male attendants wore beige tuxedos with brown velvet lapels and brown trousers. Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Listowel Golf & Country Club. The bride's mother wore a Door-length gown of mint green shantung with crystal beaded h neckline, accented with a white corsage sgtaerpdiel otis. The groom's m other chose a printed sheer floor-length gown in brown and gold tones, corsage of pale yellow roses. The bride and groom reside at 4 Wilsonview Ave., Guelph. DAVIDSON neckline. The male attendants wore black tuxedo suits with ruffled shirts and black bow-ties. The wedding dinner was served at the Presbyterian Church with a reception following at the Canadian Legion Hall with dancing to Scott's Orchestra. The bride's mother wore a floor-length gown of rose polyester crepe. with white accessories and corsage of white roses, The groom's mother wore a floral mauve and, pink chiffon gown and corsage of white carnations. The young couple left after the reception for a wedding trip to Northern Ontario.
