Doreen Rose Hachbart,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Hachbart of Brussels was married
to Raymond Boyce .LeDrew, son
of Rev. and Mrs. Eric LeDrew,
also of Brussels in St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, Brodhagen on
Saturday, September 14, 1974 at
7 p.m. The ceremony was
performed by Rev. E. LeDrew
and Rev, A Horst.
The wedding music was played
by Mrs. A. Horst add Mrs. Carl
Graber Jr. sang.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
gown of white peau de soie with a
lace panel trimmed with daisies
and seed pearls. Her detached
chapel train was of chantilly lace.
Her cascade bouquet contained
red roses and white daisies. The
bridesmaids wore similar dresse

For the reception at the
Canadian Legion Hall, Brussels,
Mrs. Hachbart received in a gown
of turquoise sheer organza over
taffeta, trimmed with
embroidered lace.
The bride and groom left for
Niagara Falls on their wedding
trip, The bride wore an off-white
dress with red jacket and a rose
corsage,

The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Annie Pollard, Listowel and.
the late George Pollard, The
groom is the son of Mr, and Mrs,
Robert Fizell, Monkton, Rev. R,
Brassel, Listowel, officiated at the
ceremony.
Mrs. Rosemary Fallis,
organist, accompanied the
soloist. Mrs, Cathy Meyers,
Hanover, who sang "0 Perfect
Love" and when the register was
being signed "Wedding Prayer".
• The bride was given in
marriage by her brother Brian
Pollard of Sarnia.
The bride wore a Victorian st
yle gown with bib front, modified
leg-o-mutton sleeves. It was
trimmed with a flounce of pink
under white alencon lace. It had a
matching inset at the back falling
into a chapel train. A four tier
illusion veil trimmed with daisy
lace accented by a headpiece of
lace encrusted with crystal and
pearls. She carried a garland of
pink roses, baby's breath and
stephanotis.
The maid of honor was Mrs.
HOPPER —
Wroxeter United Church was
the scene for the wedding of
Linda Jane Sharpin, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Sharpin of
Wroxeter and Kenneth John
Hopper, R.R.#5, Brussels son of
Mrs.Stan Hopper and the late
Stan Hopper on September 7th at
7 p.m. Rev. Wesley Ball
performed the double-ring
ceremony.
The Church was decorated with
candelabra with pink and white
mums and pink candles.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, chose a chapel length
gown of angel-skin peau de soie
and imported chantilly lace,fitted
bodice with pearls and a ruffled
pinafore effect, long fitted sleeves
accented with ruffled cuffs. The
entire bottom was a ruffle with
matching chantilly lace. Her
hand-beaded lace headpiece held
in place a finger-tip nylon illusion
veil edged in chantilly lace. She
carried a bouquet of pink
carnations and white baby's
breath set off by ferns.
The maid of honor was Jean
Pellet of Wroxeter and the
bridesmaids were Mr's. Glenis
King, Stratford, and Wanda
Davison, Pilot Mound, Manitoba.
They wore pink and white
gingham dresses with short
sleeves. Lace accented the V-

Cathy Buchanan, Stratford, sister
of .the groom. The bridesmaids
were Mrs. June Pollard, Sarnia,
and, Mrs, Mancy Renick,
Fullerton, sister-in-law and friend
of the bride. They wore pink
polyester floor-length gowns. with
empire waist and square neckline
accented with lace, They wore
pink lacy floppy, hats trimmed
with white lace daisies with pink
centres.
The flower girl, Michelle
Irvine of London, niece of the
bride, wore a long gown similar to
the other attendants. They all
carried wicker baskets filled with
white shasta daisies and pink
mums.
Paul Yundt, Monkton, was best
man and the guests were ushered
by Leonard and Leander Meyers
of Brantford and Hanover, twin
uncles of the groom. The groom
and his attendants wore tuxedoes
of burgandy coats, white ruffled
shirts and black trousers,
Following the ceremony a
reception line was formed at the
church and the bride and groom
with their attendants and parents
received the guests.
The bride's mother wore a
melon coloured floor-length gown
of sheer chiffon over taffeta,

dresses had empire waistlines.

Brussels Legion Hall at 9 p.m.
with lunch at 11 o'clock.
For their honeymoon the bride
travelled in a two-piece outfit with
a flowered smock top and light
blue matching pants with white
shoes and white accessories.
They travelled to Northern
Ontario.
The couple. will reside in
Wingham.
Honoured guests were the
groom's grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Morrison Sharpin of
Wingham and the bride's great
aunt, Mrs. Gladys Gorrell of Pilot
Mound, Manitoba, also Mr. and
Mrs. Tindall McKercher, great
aunt and uncle of the bride,
few days with. Mr. and Mrs. Gee.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Earl and Judy,
Mrs.Carl McDonald' attended a
family gathering at the home of
Mrs. Russ Annett on Sunday. Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon McDonald of
Senlac Sask, who have been
visiting here will return to their
home on Thursday.
Miss Terry Lynn has returned
home after visiting Mr . and Mrs,
Geo. Lynn Jr, of Toronto. Mr. and
Mrs. Geo. Lynn Jr. are proud to

reception followed with dancing.
For a honeymoon trip to
Northern Ontario, the. bride chose
a burgandy dress accented with
creamy lace and burgandy
sandals.

Hamilton, New York,
Woodbridge, St. Marys, Buffalo,
\London, -Brussels, Walton,
Cambridge, Mitchell, Sarnia,

Morning
Star lodge
makes fall
fair plans
The members of Morning Star
Rebekah Lodge held their first
meeting following the summer
vacation, Tuesday eveninL
September 10 in the lodge hall.
Prior to the meeting, the sisters
enjoyed a pot luck supper.
During the business period, a
display for the Brussels fall fain
was discussed, and visitations for
installing the officers in the othei
lodges of the district.
The Sisters were able to offer
best wishes to ' Sister Laura
Williamson whose 59th wedding
anniversary had been on Sept. 8
The sick were remembered witl
cards and gifts. Following the
meeting practice was held for tin
Degree Staff.
