ARMSTRONG Elaine Twyla Jacklin of London, and Brian John Armstrong of Ethel, exchanged wedding vows on August 31, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Molesworth, amid a setting of candelabras and baskets of flower arrangements. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jacklin, of R.R.#1, Listowel. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Armstrong, ofEthcl. Rev. John Brush of Molesworth officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Mrs. John Freeman of Gorrie, accompanied the guest soloist, Mrs. Julie Mitchell of Listowel, who sang "Wedding Song" and "We've Only Just Begun". Given in marriage by her father and mother, the bride wore a traditional gown of Chantilly lace and organza over taffeta, featuring a scoop neckline and molded bodice, The redingote style skirt was accentuated by a flowing chapel train of Chantilly lace in back. A four layer illusion veil was held in place by a dainty headpiece of lace, crystal and seed pearls. She carried a garland of pink sweetheart roses, Miss Ruth Elliott of Kitchener, friend of the bride, was maid of honour. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Verna Hart of Kitchener, friend of the bride, Mrs. Donna Brooine of Thornbury, friend of the bride, Miss Kim Jacklin of Molesworth, sister of the bride, and Miss Joanne Jacklin of Molesworth, sister of the bride. The maid of honour and the bridesmaids were identically gowned in heavenly blue 'dotted organza over taffeta-styled with scoop neckline, raised waistline, flounced hemline, and puffy sleeves, trimmed with imported White lace: Complimenting the ensemble were lacey white picture hats. They carried bouquets of daisy mums and blue feathered carnations. Miss Karen Elliott, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Walter Elliott of Whitechurch, and, also sister of the maid of hotiour„ was dower girl. Mr. Murray Armstrong of Ethel, brother of the groom, was the best man, The ushers. were Mr. Bruce Wilbee ofhthel, friend of the groom, Mr. Donald Armstrong of Ethel, brother of the groom, Mr. Rex McClory of Ethel, friend of the groom, and Mr. Larry J acklin, of Molesworth, brother of the bride. Master Joseph Jacklin • of Molcsworth, brother of the bride, was ringbcarer. The bride's mother wore a long empire waist gown of lemon yellow crimpolene accented with yellow braiding around the collar and the waist. She had white accessories and a corsage of bronze mums. The groom's mother wore a long A-line gown of mauve crimpolene. Her corsage consisted of yellow mums. A wedding dinner followed at the Elma Community Centre, Atwood. The ,head table held a three-tier wedding cake decorated with blue roses. The master of ceremonies was Mr. Jack Conley of Brussels, great uncle of the bride. An evening reception followed with dancing pleasure to the music ,of "Cake", from Tceswater. A buffet lunch was served. For a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls the bride chose a pale green sleeveless dress with a matching waist-length jacket. Her corsage was of yellow mums. Guests attended from London, Kitchener, St. Thomas, Stratford. Th ornbury, Wingham, Teeswatcr. Mildmay, Whitechurch, Auburn, Londesboro, Holyrood, Seaforth, Brussels, Ethel, Atwood, Listowel and Molesworth. The groom is a student at Fanshawe Community College in his senior yeat iii the Automotive Power Technician Course: The bride is a graduate of Centralia College of Agricultural Technology, arid is presently employed as a Food Service Supervisor at University Hospital, London. The couple will reside at 540 Morningtort Avenue, Apt. 225, London, Ontario. Pauline McCutcheon and Rick Clarke were united in Marriage in Brussels United Church' on Satur- day, August 24th, 1974. The four o'clock wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. E. LeDrew in a setting of pink and white candles and baskets of pink carnations, yellow daisies and blue and green mums. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George McCutcheon of Brussels. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Clarke of Wroxeter are parents of the groom. The wedding music was provided by Gladys Jones of Monkton and Julie Valiance and Joan Elliott sang to the accompaniment of their own guitars. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of white sheer organza with empire styling. Pink dotted swiss organza formed a ruffle around a scooped neck, trimmed the Juliet sleeves and enhanced the entire flounce of the skirt. The detached chapel train, worn at the back waist, was topped by re-embroidered Vienese lace. She wore a pink chiffon ribbon garden party hat, which completed her costume. Her bridal bouquet was a cascade of stephanatis and pink delight roses. Vonne Brister was her sister's maid of honor gowned in a floor-length dress of daintly figured pink polyester fashioned with round neckline, A-line style, and matching cape. Twenty investigations with person charged under t)i Criminal Code. On Wednesday, August 2 Thelma M. Archer of RU Mooretown, and Kenneth E Dettman of R.R.2, Clifford, wee involved in a collision on Conces sion 18, east of Sideroad 1546 Howick Township. Mrs. Arches received injuries as a result of the collision. Damages were estimated at $1500. On Thursday, August 20, Nelson A. Gower of R,k,3 Wingham, struck a cattlebeasto Concession 10-11, west of side road 33-34, East Wawanas Township. The cattlebeast was owned by Jack Shiell of R,RJ, Wingham. No one was injured, and damages to the Gower vehicle were estimated at $801. On Saturday, August 31, Gordon W. Riley of Londesbo and Jeffrey W. Lockridge Wingham were involved in a tw car collision on Highway #4, non of the Blyth C.P.R. crossing. N one was injured, and tole damages were estimated a $2,000. Charges are pending. Richard W. Davis of Kitchener was involved in a single to accident on Concession 7, west a Huron County Road #12, Mot' Township, when the car he m driving entered the north dite and struck a- tree. Mr. Davis w not• injured, and total damage were estimated at $300. On Sunday, September Norman Reaman of R.11, Ford. wich, and Clarence Golley al Wingham, were involved in a two-car collision on Sideroad 15-16 at Concession 1, Moms Injured in the collision were Mrs Marie Reaman of California, Mis! Adeline Reaman of Gorsley, aat Mrs. Myrtle Reaman of R,11.1 Fordwich. Total damages to boll vehicles were estimated at $851 Charges are pending. and green pinochio mums and pink carnations. The groom's mother wore a blue on white swiss dotted floor-length gown in a pink orchid corsage. A reception followed in the Brussels Legion Hall which had, been decorated with balloons, streamers and flowers. For travelling to Ottawa and the United States, the bride wore a pant suit of blue plaid slacks and top with a white blazer.
