Road Accounts of $3,847.20 and General Accounts of $813.65 were approved. Grey Township Council Set in motion plans for the repair and improvement of three municipal drains at its September meeting. The three drains involved and those initiating the action are: 1. R. Yanke, John Orr and John Purvis to repair and improve a pOrtion of the Close Municipal Drain, 2. Nu-Teck Farms. Ltd„ owner of Lot 26, Concession 15 to repair and improve the McTaggart Municipal Drain to give a proper outlet to Lot 26, Concession 1$. 3. Larry Bray and Kenneth Bray to repair the tile portion of the Morris Township Council held the September meeting on Wednesday of last week with all members present and Reeve Wm. Elston presiding. Motions adopted included: By Ross Smith seconded by Thos. Miller that By-law No. 12, 1974 authorizing sale of part 2 of lot 69 in Hamlet of Belgrave be passed as given first, second and third readings. By Jas. Mair seconded by Thos. Miller that By-law No. 13, 1974 imposing special annual drainage rates under The Tile Drainage Act 1972 be passed as given first, second and third readings. By Ross Smith seconded by Thos. Miller that the Engineer's report on the Cloakey Drain be provisionally adopted by By-law No. 14, 1974 as given first and second readings. . By Thos. Miller seconded by Robt. Grasby that Court of Revision on the Cloakey Drain be set for 2 p.m., September 30. HOY Municipal Drain to give Lot 11, Concession 6 a proper Outlet. In each case, Gamsby and Mannerow Limited, Consulting Engineers, Guelph, Ont. were appointed to make a survey and prepare plans, profile and specifi- cations and report. Council instructed the clerk to advertise for tenders on a 1965 G.M.C. truck for sale and accepted the quotation of Ennis Paiken Steel Limited, Hamilton, of $6,897. for the supply, fabrica- tion and delivery to the site of reinforcing steel for the Gill Bridge at Lots 20.21, Concession By Thos. Meeting adjourned to meet again September 30 at 1 p.m. Accounts paid were: Roads, $2,558.05 and General, 18, 735.60 for a total of $21,293.65. 11 subject to the approval of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. In other business, council granted the Mount Pleasant. Cemetery Board $150. Granted William Dobson a rebate of part of 1974 taxes in the amount of $33.41 on part of Lot 23, Concession 8, on business and commercial assessment. Instructed the clerk to give Wilfred Strickler a letter of permission to move his house trailer and to forward the claim of Mrs. Maurice Williams for damages to her car, to Frank Cowan Insurance Company. Advised the clerk to write the C.N.R. about the brush obstruct- ing the visibility at crossings in Grey Township. Accepted applications in the amounts of $3,00. $5,200., $2,200., $11,200, $2,500., and $5,200., under The Tile Drainage Act, 1971. Passed Rating By-law No. 13 of 1974 under The Tile Drainage Act, 1971. Agreed that payment for file drainage loans be made to the farmer after the township receives the money from the provincial government: Accounts paid included General - $2,818.21 and Roads and Bridges - $2,930.05 for a total of $5,748.26.
